The Ball.

Anna's P.O.V...

Dark had sent a box up to me with a small note on it. Telling me it was the dress for the ball and to put it on. I did as I was told and changed into the dress and heels.

I looked at myself in the mirror and admired myself for a minute. I looked really beautiful and now it was time for the make up and the mask. After applying a little make up and curling my hair, I put on the beautiful mask that match the dress. Then looked at myself in the mirror again and I couldn't believe that this was me. I knew I looked great but worried if Dark wouldn't like it. I sigh and laughed a little as I placed Dark's ring on my promise finger. " I look good and if he doesn't like it, I don't care." I thought as I walked out of my room. I walked my way to the ball room and two people standing at the doors in masks as well. I showed my ring and they let me inside after opening the doors for me. I knew I couldn't walk straight up to Dark since it was a masquerade party for me. He would have to find me and I kind of liked that idea. As I was walking down the steps I caught a lot of people's attention. A few had their jaws open as they awed at my appearance or the ring. I wasn't sure which one what actually. I didn't get nervous at all instead I continued my way with my head held up proud and strong. Dark hadn't arrived yet and I began to worry until I was asked to dance a few times. I had dance with five other men when another demon man came up to me. He had bright green irises and a Irish green hair dye in his brown hair. He had a scare around the front of his neck which made me curious about. He was also wearing a green mask as well that match his own attire. He smiled and bowed to me so I courtesy for him in return. He grabs my hand and kisses it gently and smiles.

" May I have this dance with you lass?" He asks and I nod.

" I would love too." Is all I said as he lead me to the dance floor. We got into dancing positions and began to dance to one of the traditional demon dances Dark taught me. Dark was already walking around when me and him locked eyes for a quick second until I focused my attention back on my Irish dancing partner. When the song finished he pulled me to get drinks together as we talked.

" I'm Anti, by the way. And what is your name?" He asks and I smile.

" My name's Anna, but my full name is Anna May Fischbock." I tell him making his smile fade into shock.

" Wait, your Annalane May?" He asks.

" Yeah, how did you know my whole first name?" I ask curious.

" I... It's nothing, Dark told me about you. I just didn't realize how off he was about you. He told me you were beautiful, but that's an understatement!" He says making me chuckle and take a drink.

" Thanks. So are you close friends with Dark?" I ask making him smirk.

" Close!? Hell yeah, we are. We're like brothers including Die of course. We all three grew up together." He explains making me smile.

" That's wonderful then. Why don't y'all spend time with each other now a days?" He sighs and shrugs his shoulders.

" We're pretty busy now a days. Dark used to hang with us all the time, but I guess we grew apart a little. Dark only throws the types of parties for only a few of his personal servants who he thinks deserves it. Dark usually gets a ton of mean and childish ones let me tell you. Which reminds me, how did someone as beautiful as you end up here with the king of the world?" He asks smirking.

" King of the world?" I say confused.

" Yep, he is to be the next ruler since his father died a few months ago. His father was a cruel man, just be glad you never met him. Also yer dress was made by Die, did you know?" I shake my head no. " Oh, it seems you have been found. Dark has been watching us for awhile now." He informs me making my heart skip a beat as I look around us. " And now he's coming over." He chuckles silently and I finally see him. Dark was halfway here and I began to get nervous a little. I turned around and began to eat a few sweets to calm down. That was until I could technically sense his presence behind me. I swallow the sweets and turn around smiling. " Yep, he was definitely behind me." I thought smirking to myself. He holds out his hand as he smiled.

" May I have this dance Anna?" He asks making my heart jump into the back of my throat. So I nod and take his hand. He pulls me onto the dance floor and we began to waltz together. We we're both pretty good at it too since we caught a few stares and what not. All I could think about was yesterday when we were dancing like this smiling and laughing. But this time it was silent and swift. I never missed a step all the way through the song. When the next song played it was a slow song and we were both swaying to it softly. As he held me by the waist, I had my hands past his shoulders and clapsed together behind his neck. We actually seemed close in a way, but I couldn't get myself to stop thinking about the time we've already had together. Even though I have spent three days with him, it's beginning to feel as if I had known him my whole life. When the song ended we had pulled apart as he lead me to a microphone. " Well here this goes." I thought as he began to say his speech. He introduced me as he got everyone to take off their mask at the same time and we all did. Some of the demons didn't really like me, but a few looked like they did. I was a little nervous, but luckily I didn't have to say anything to much. We then continued the party and socialized with a few of Dark's friends including Die and Deanan. I really enjoyed everything about that night and when everyone had left Dark walked me back to my room. Once we made it to my door, I turned around and smiled at him.

" Thank you for tonight, I really had fun with you and your friends." I tell him making him chuckle.

" Yeah, well they are a little rambunctious aren't they Anti especially." He tells me making me nod in agreement. We then both look at each other when he speaks up again. " You looked really beautiful tonight and I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I kind of had a hard time trying to believe it or not." He mumbles making me blush. I move my hair behind my hair and look down again.

" T... Thanks Dark. You looked really good your self tonight as well. We should do things like this more often. It's very relaxing and fun especially when one of the hosts accidentally tripped down the stairs." I laugh remembering how that happened.

" Yeah, I agree on that. Well, goodnight Anna." He says and I nod.

" Goodnight Dark." I kiss his cheek again and go into my bedroom.

Dark's P.O.V..

She had kissed me again! What does she think she's doing to me, I'm having to hold back from realization. But she keeps drawing me in every time. I walk to my room and got ready for bed. I then put up every thing and went to bed with only one thought. " She belongs to me and I will not let anyone or anything take her away from me nothing will!"
