The Next Few Days.

Anna's P.O.V...

The next few days flew by as I began to feel very strange. I would have these terrible headaches and huge pain my my back. But they would happen on and off maybe twice a day and it's been four. During all this I have been spending time with Dark and learning how to do a ton of fighting skills. We even played video games together in each other's room. Yesterday I picked out my own furniture for my room and some clothes to walk around in. He even got me my own mp3 player and I could put as many songs I liked on it. Dark was going to be busy with paperwork today so I decided to listen to my mp3 player as I cleaned the castle. It was pretty much cleaned except for a few rooms. Dark gave me permission to go anywhere in the castle as I wished so he didn't mind. I was just finishing a room when something crashed against one of his windows. I looked out and saw a human boy throwing what looked like a birds nest. " He was throwing baby bird eggs at the window! I had to stop him!" I opened the window and scared him off making him drop the nest. I climbed out of the window and ran over to the nest. I picked it up and only saw one egg left in it. It looked perfectly fine so I took it with me. I carefully climbed back through the window with the nest and closed it behind me. I felt bad as I saw yoke, blood, and unborn baby bird body parts on the window sill. I cringed at how cruel it was and decided to take the nest and egg to my room. I already knew how to take care of eggs since I was in charge of the chickens at the village. I also worked as a doctor as well, so I had a lot of medical knowledge in births and pretty much everything else. It just came naturally to me like too easily. I found a few things for the bird and began to make a place for it. I knew I had to tell Dark, but I didn't have to just yet. Maybe not at all, because I don't want him to make me get rid of it. I also had a small heating lamp for it to stay worm and from what those dead baby birds looked like. He should hatch soon anyways right? I just hope it's okay. " I wonder what kind it will be?" I smile at myself and stayed in my room. I decided to watch it and take care of it as much as I could. Dark happened to notice my behavior over the week and asked me about it yesterday. I told him everything about the bird egg and what I was doing. He seemed upset for a little bit, but blew it off with a nod. All he told me was to be careful and that I wasn't allowed to leave the castle again without him. I agreed and he left it at that, but I still didn't tell him about these odd pains I've been having. It was probably nothing sense it was easily cured with pain killers.

It had been two days after telling Dark about the bird egg and I was reading another book about demons on one of my comfy chairs in my room. That was until Dark knocked on my door.

" Come In!" I call to him as I hide the book quickly and he comes in. He sees me and smiles.

" Hey, I was coming over to tell you that I was going to be visiting the D.O.S in an hour and I will be having Die watch over the place and you. So if anything happens go to him ok-" He stops mid sentence as we began to hear chirping. Me and Dark walk over to the nest and look down at it as it began to already hatch. After it completely was hatched it was adorable, naked but still adorable. Me and Dark chuckle and I smile at him.

" Our baby is born!" I yell happily as I hugged him in happiness. He stumbled back a little before awkwardly patting my back. That's when I realized what I said and pulled away. " Oh, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to say that. He's a bird not a...baby." I mumble blushing. Dark only chuckles and kisses the top of my head.

" No, it's alright. We did raise it so technically we are parents to a point. Call it our baby I don't care, as long as your happy. Good thing I brought you those bird food and bottles and stuff. You can feed it with the stuff I gave you, it was made especially for baby birds from a close friend. Now I will see...y'all in three days. Be safe Anna also I'm sure it's a boy." He smiles and we huge goodbye. He vanishes and I sigh in joy at the baby bird. " Yes he is our baby isn't he?" I smirk and feed him the formula Dark got. " He's so thoughtful and father like to a point at least... I admire that in a guy." I finish reading him making him content and fall asleep. I then look out the window to see Dark dressed up and entering a carriage. We lock eyes and he winks making me roll my eyes playfully. He gets in it and he takes off down the dirt road. I leave my room right after and begin to look for Die. I find him at the front door and I smile. He sees me and smiles back as he gracefully walked up to me. He hugs me brotherly and I hug him back.

" Hey Anna, how are you doing?" He asks making me shrug my shoulders.

" Not much except our baby being born." I joke making him gasp and widen his eyes.

" Y'all guys had a baby? I was sure you haven't even married or even spent that much time to even become pregnant! Also you didn't look it either when we first meet." He exclaims confused.

" I'm just jo-" I began but he interrupts me.

" Plus your a human how could you even survive and give birth to a demon!? I'm so shocked! Did he hurt you? Rid he hurt the baby?" He asks worried.

" Calm down Die, I was just joking with you. I didn't give birth and we didn't do anything like that! I am his personal servant after all. I just saved a bird egg and helped take care of it until it hatched. He just did while I was talking to Dark and he doesn't mind that I call it our baby. He helped me with him so it's only natural to say he is the father." I explain making him breath a deep breath of relief. You want to see him?" I ask and he chuckles.

" Yes, I'd love to see him." He tells me and follows me to my room. I show him our baby bird making him gasp. " Oh, he's so cute!" He whisper yells. After a little while of talking and what we began to walk to the dinning room for dinner. As we were walking down the hallway I gasped and clutched my head. I was having another one of those headaches again and since Die was ahead of me he didn't notice until he looked behind him. I was holding myself up against the wall as I held my head in pain. He instantly rushed over and helped me stand up properly.

" I'm fine Die, thanks." I tell him as I continued walking trying to hide it. He stops me and makes me look at him quickly.

" You are not fine. I could tell something was off about you when I first saw you. Are you sure everything's okay Anna? You can tell me anything you know?" He asks with worry laced in his voice. I sigh and decide to tell him the truth.

" Okay, but don't tell Dark. I've been having a few headaches and back problems. I can't figure out why, but I think I'm just sore from the training. So there's nothing to worry about, the pain only happens twice a day. Trust me if I was worried about it and thought it was life threatening, I would tell Dark. Plus after what happened that night before ball took a toll on me." I explain as the headache began to fade. He let's go and sighs.

" Okay, I won't tell him. Dark told me what had happened so you don't have to explain anything. Now, let's go eat dinner shall we?" I nod and we continue our way there. We dig in as he sat right next to me with me sitting on my usual seat. After eating we both said goodnight to each other and went to separate bedrooms. I feed our bird again and began reading my book about demons again with no lights on except for one lamp next to me, but soon went to bed and hour or two later.
