'How do I look when I smile?' Shouto thought as he stared into his reflection's eyes. The mirror was slightly steamed up, due to the fact that Shouto had just come out of the shower.

He tried on a smile, his face awkwardly morphing to accommodate his lips' movement. He shook his head, his mouth forming his neutral frown once more. "No, no, smiles look genuine. Not.. forced." He muttered to himself, trying another smile, which resulted in another fail.

This lasted for about half an hour. Shouto would try on a smile, only to break himself down and judge himself for it.

Your lips look too stretched. Why is half of your mouth curved? You look like a creep.

His mind raced with insecurity as he thought about what people would think of him when he smiled.

Deciding to ignore his thoughts, he chose to just leave the bathroom and get dressed into a casual outfit. It was Monday, which meant he had to go back to UA today. It was approximately 5:54 A.M. Shouto had always been a morning person, waking up early with his mind ready.

After getting dressed, he brushed his hair with his hands gently. He went into the kitchen, because idk I guess he lives alone, and pulled out some bread from the fridge. He set it on a plate, hovering his left hand over the bread and toasting it as he reached into the fridge simultaneously and grabbed the butter. When he saw that his toast was done, he deactivated his quirk and opened the butter lid. He spread the butter on his toast, then took a bite out of it. He nodded, successfully making the perfect toast. He put the bread and butter back into his fridge and closed it, finishing his toast fairly quickly.

He sighed quietly and checked his phone for any notifications. He missed a few calls from Midoriya, who was probably crying about something having to do with eggs in microwaves, and a text from Stella. The text actually came a few minutes ago, asking, "Hey Shouto. Are you awake? I forgot to do some homework and I wanted to know if you had the answers. Justina told me she burnt her papers."

Shouto chuckled to himself at the last sentence, and opened the notification to type a response.

"Of course. What subject was it for?"

He got a quick response, which read, "It was for quirk research on All Might. I forgot to do it lol."

Shouto held his phone as he returned to his room to grab his schoolbag. He pulled out his journal, and then the worksheet they were given by Aizawa. He took a photo of the answers and sent it to Stella. "I'm certain that the answers are all correct," he typed, "so there isn't any reason to worry. ^^"

He tried an emoticon for once and sent it, tapping his ring fingers against the back of his phone nervously. Stella responded within a few minutes.

"Thank you, Tododoki doki! I appreciate it."

Shouto felt his lips pull back at the nickname she had given him.

'Tododoki doki. I like it.'

He had a wide, genuine smile on his face.
