"I'm sorry, El, we can't take you on this mission. You're with Bloodhound and Revenant," Justina spoke to her boyfriend who was currently clinging to her with small tears in his chocolate-brown eyes.

"But Revenant scares me!! He keeps threatening me and he sounds like a scary version of my Santa voice..." Elliott Witt, the holographic trickster known as Mirage, sniffled.

"And Bloodhound doesn't like me! They keep calling me a presi... percis.. perstim.. an idiot that doesn't stop trying!"

"Persistent dumbass?"

"Yeah!!"

Justina pat his head and laughed softly, "We won't be gone long, especially since I'll be the one to knock you down as soon as we face each other." She smirked, knowing that Elliott would never back down from a challenge.

"Yeah? Well.. Well I'll be the one to- uh- um.." He struggled to think of the word.

"We're dropping soon. I gotta go to Stella and Crypto, El. I'll see you in the ring!"

"Wha- hey! That's my line!!"

Justina waved to Elliott, leaving him so she could approach her stealthy friend. Elliott pouted at her. "But I wore my cowboy outfit for you.."

She laughed, shaking her head and waving him off so he could go to his squad.

"So.. Stella's the Jumpmaster. Considering I have more experience in the games than you guys, she should relinquish it to me! No I don't have a date with Mirage at the Mirage Voyage. Totally not. Please relinquish the Jumpmaster to me-"

As Justina rambled, Crypto pushed her out of the dropship above The Geyser. "I'm the Jumpmaster. Ttalawa." (Follow me.)

Stella laughed as her friend screamed while she fell. She heard a voice on the intercoms and saw, of course, Mirage flying next to their glitching teammate.

Justina waved in the sky, chuckling as Mirage did a flip and blew a kiss at her, undoubtedly making fans watching at home cheer.

Stella shouted to Mirage, "Aren't you supposed to be with your own squad?"

Mirage smirked, "Who says I can't be a part of yours for one game?"

Crypto huffed, "The gamemakers and the rules. You can't be with us, you meongcheonghan ingan." (Stupid person.)

"That obviously means beautiful man, right?"

Crypto rolled his eyes and flew over to Mirage, pressing his hands to his shoulders and shoving him to the right, making him lose control and unintentionally fly back to his team.

Stella laughed at him as he tumbled in the air, trying to get back to Justina. She heard the faint laugh of her glitchy friend as well.

Crypto sighed, "Well, we have The Geyser to ourselves. Glitch, if there are any R-99s, I'll mention them for you. Invis, I'm not sure what your preference is considering you're new to the games."

Stella nodded, not realizing that Crypto wasn't one for formalities when the games were starting. She looked up at the Champions screen and saw Justina in the center. Her banner was to the left, and Crypto's was to the right. Oh boy, she thought, anyone who sees us is going to turn us into toast. Why does Justina have to be so damn good at shooting?

Justina snickered into her earpiece as she found an R-99 in one of the buildings by The Geyser. "Hehehehe.. Twelfth Champion in a row, here I come. Elliott, have fun with your rank while you've still got it. It's gonna be gone in a hot minute."
