three weeks.

it's been three weeks and caitlin and i have been on three dates, our first, at the cinema, our second, at the roller skating rink and our third, just last night, at a nice restaurant.

"hey y/n?"

it was joe, i raised my head from my pillow, "yes?"

"there's someone here to see you."

"who?"

he gave a shrug and closed my bedroom door once more, i groaned and stood up, stretching my arms.

i looked down at myself, a pair of black boxer shorts, which i stole from a new packet that joe bought yesterday, which had 'mysteriously' gone missing and a large grey hoodie.

whoever they are, fuck them, i can wear whatever shit i want.

i quickly put on some rainbow sliders and walked out the door, out the short hall and into the living room and saw the door half closed.

i skidded toward it, grabbed the handle and screamed, "WHAT'S UP FUCK- caitlin?"

i widened my eyes, she smiled, "hi y/n.. are you.. busy?"

she looked down at my attire, my face went bright red, she wore a light blue ripped jeans, pastel purple t-shirt tucked inside and a weird look on her face.

i shook my head, "n-no, come in.."

she smiled and walked inside, her face confused and her brows furrowed, i gulped.

"hey shrimpy, who was the kid a-"

joe awkwardly smiled at caitlin, who awkwardly smiled back, it was very awkward.

"hi, i'm joe, y/n's roommate, sorry i didn't mean to call you kid.. "

he gestured his hand out and caitlin shook it slowly, "hi.. i'm caitlin, y/n's... friend."

joe smiled, nodded at me and walked back to his room, shutting the door softly.

"um, follow me.. would you like a drink?"

she nodded, gazing around the apartment, "i'm sorry about joe, he moved in here a couple months back, doesn't know i have friends. "

caitlin laughed, i smiled, "tea or coffee?"

"coffee, please."

i nodded, working on two cups of coffee, she sat down at the table while i put the two cups on the table, she took one and smiled, "thanks."

i smiled back, "no problem,"

we both began talking, gossping, wasting the time away, caitlin then took my hand, i went silent.

"um, y/n... i know.. i know this isn't cheesy or romantic and frankly i'd be shocked if you said yes," she let out a nervous laugh while my face went redder.

"what i'm saying is, you make me really happy and.. and i really do like you, y/n and.. "

i held her other hand to edge her on, she giggled.

"y/n, would you like to be my girlfriend?"
