both ben and i's wide smiles shrunk as we saw caitlin, he stopped walking and i slid off his back slowly, "hi baby.."

i walked over and kissed her forehead, she smiled, confused, "i was just on my way to see you.. you seem.. busy?"

i glanced back at ben, who had his hands in his pocket, "i was going to go to ben's to sort out his costume, but i can stay-"

"no! no, go ahead! it's fine, really!"

i gulped, feeling guilty, she came all this way, "caitlin, really, i can stay. "

she shook her head, a small smile on her face.

"do you see the way he looks at her?"

"i'm positive, y/n love. go do the outfit thing, you two are matching, right?"

i nodded, my face nervous, "alright, hun. i'll call you later, okay?"

she nodded, i kissed her cheek and walked away, looking back at her, ben and i walked out first, down the street, until ben waved down a taxi.

"you get a taxi anytime you come over?"

he opened the door and held out his hand, i took it and stepped into the car, ben following suit.

"no, i usually walk, but since i thought you wouldn't be able to walk that-"

i rolled my eyes and scoffed as he closed the door, "i don't know if i should be grateful you got a taxi or insulted because you called me lazy."

"oh shut up, uh, summerville, please,"he spoke directly to the driver, who nodded and began the journey.

once we arrived, ben paid the taxi and we walked into a housing estate, in clean condition and pretty lawns.

"you live in a house like this?"

"they're all apartments, two per house, see?"

he walked inside and went up the stairs, i followed closely, looking around, the walls were cream and the stairs wooden.

we reached a wooden door marked ‘26’ and he unlocked it, stepping inside.

i gasped, it was such a pretty apartment, well, since ben moved in.

he had a couple plants, he had an ajoining kitchen and sitting room and a hall that lead out to two bedrooms and a bathroom.

"this is so cute, oh my god."

ben smirked, taking pride in his apartment, in the corner of the kitchen, was a basket, with a red blanket and two bowls beside it.

"cat?"

"dog, actually. FRANKIE, COME HERE, GIRL!"

i snorted, "frankie?" the sound of nails scratching wood was heard and a small beagle came from behind a door, immediately my heart melted.

"oh my god, she's so cute!"

i kneeled down and put my hand out for her to sniff, she licked it and i scratched behind her ear, laughing as i did so.

ben kneeled down beside me, patting his dog's head affectionately, i smiled at him, "she's beautiful, ben."

ben smiled back, "bitch we been knew."
