a half hour later we had our meals eaten, bill paid and drinks finished, "yum damn, i love sundae's."

caitlin smiled at me, grabbing the empty glasses and placing them on the smooth red tray.

i turned to ben and cheryl and waved them goodbye, they waved back slowly, i smiled, took cailtin's hand and walked out the door, the cool air greeted us.

"where do you want to go now, babe?"

i shrugged as an answer, looking around the street, the streets were bustling with people, halloween was two weeks away, when i was a kid, i would have my outfit planned in april, now, i haven't a clue.

"i haven't decided my halloween costume yet, maybe we could look around for some ideas?"

"you haven't decided yet?! y/n! that's really.. really sad, shaking my damn head."

i stuck my tongue out at her as we walked down a street, peering in and out of shops, "well, what are you being?"

"i'm being a vampire, it's a classic."

i shrugged, then my eyes lit up as i spotted a costume store, brimming with people, "in here."

we both walked inside, looking at all the bright costumes, ranging from cute, children's outfits to sexy, adult costumes.

we walked casually around the shop, looking at the stupid outfits, laughing when one caught our eye.

glancing past another, i had a sudden realisation of my costume, "caitlin! get what you need! i have decided!"

caitlin raised her brow, smiling excitedly at me,"what is it?"

i winked at her, "it's a surprise,"

she stuck her tongue out at me, glaring menacingly, then took a thick cloak from a rack, examining it, "this is all i need, let's pay."

i nodded, pulling her to the line, five or six people ahead of us.

once we got to the till, caitlin paid for her cloak ("fifteen euros! what in the world!") and began the walk back to my apartment.

"oh please tell me what you're being, y/n??"

i laughed, wrapping my arm around her shoulder, glancing down at her as i was taller, "no way, caitlin."

she knitted her eyebrows together and frowned, crossing her arms as we walked, i smiled, glancing at her.

"at halloween, if we're dressing up, shouldn't we go to a party?"

i glanced at her once more, "yeah, david's having a party, he rented out a big hall since he's fucking rich, we should go."

she nodded, "alright. um.. is ben going?"

i raised a brow at her, a small frown, "ben? um, i don't know, i'll ask him, why?"

she shrugged, "just wondering,"

i gave her an apprehensive look, but kept my mouth shut.
