"Does anyone really know why I have Dimensional Connection? Also, what does DHA mean?"

"No one knows why you were gifted with DC and DHA stands for Dimensional Help Agency."

"Colton, report in," a voice said over the radio.

Grygh pushed on the Bluetooth button and started speaking. "Nealan is safe and sound in the backseat. The IES never started any experiments on her. She might be a little freaked out though."

He looked back at me when he said the final part and smiled. I don't know if I want to hate him or just kill him. Honestly, I was starting to believe the whole Dimensional Connection thing. Still didn't know how it works though. "Does the communication line on your part still work?" the voice asked.

"Yes, Sergeant," he said going to his communication line thing.

I gave up trying to figure out what they were talking about and started thinking about my own problems. I will never be able to be a normal teenage girl again. I won't ever be able to go somewhere without being afraid of having to leave at a moment's notice. I might not even be able to go home ever again. I'll never see my older brother again. Well technically he isn't so much older than me but he still is older. He is only a year older than me. I'll miss him the most. Mom and Dad are never home pretty much. Mom and Dad just threw all the responsibility on Beckett. He pretty much has taken care of me since he was ten. "ALESSA!!" Grygh yelled pulling me out of my thinking.

"What?"

"Did you hear anything I just told you?"

"No. I was to busy thinking about how my life has changed."

"Well, you have training on how to travel to different dimensions."

"Okay."

We were in a parking garage thing when this guy walks out of the elevator. "It's nice to finally meet you, Nealan, I've been waiting a long time to meet you. You are a very special person. One of a kind to be exact," the person said.

"Please don't call me by my last name," I announced, "Just call me Alessa."

"Well, Alessa, I am Conrad Sergeant," he replied, "Just so you know you call everybody by their last name here at this base of the DHA. We do it because some of our recruits' names are very hard to pronounce. Somehow though each Dimension has very easy last names to pronounce."

"Well, how long do you plan to have me here," I started, "because Monday morning I have school."

"As long as it takes you to learn to travel to different DImensions," he answered, "Which we hope won't take very long. You will be able to have a travel pass to travel to any dimension when you need to. Which only very few Dimensional Connections have."

"Thank you," I whispered as Grygh started pushing me away towards the elevator, "Talk to you later."

When we were in the elevator Grygh turned and looked at me. "That wasn't Conrad Sergeant," he said, "that wasn't even Starling. A Starling is what the humans are called in Careford."

"Wait how do you know that wasn't a Starling?" I asked.

"Each Starling has an Aurora that other Starlings can see. And Conard Sergeant is a Starling."

I stared at him in awe. I'm starting to think this is a dream. I kept whispering in my head, Wake up. It's all just a dream. Each time I said that it felt it become more and more like reality. "Wait is that bad."

"Yes because shifters are the most wanted humans in the known dimensional universe. But I know everything he said was true. I just would like to know why the shifter would come to the biggest DHA building in the known dimensional universe. Most people do want to get there hands on an earthling DC."

"Why is that I'm the only human here?"

"Because all the other earthlings have very useless abilities. Such as catching things on fire or reading people's minds. We have dimensional races that can do that and more things. We do help some of them though, but not as much as we have done for you. You are really one of a kind. We don't know why but you are. The only reason they sent me is that I am the only starling that can travel and can still be in my human junior year. One thing you're going to have to do is sign a contract to not tell anyone that you're a traveler. Plus they're going to want to do some DNA tests on you."

"Okay."
