When Devin said that I thought back to when Devin was fighting me. She gave me something to make me feel drunk and I hope she doesn't try that again. My question is that does anyone know that she is a shifter also. I know there is probably technology out there that can do that. When she did it though she completely lost her Aurora and actually changed beings. We traveled into the DHA clinic and got settled. Well I did. The boys were looking everywhere at all the technology and stuff. It didn't really interest me anymore because I was stuck here for a week. Grygh walked up to me and sat next to me. "I'm sorry for almost killing you," he apologizes, "I understand if you don't want me to protect you anymore."
"I'll have you as my protector because I couldn't trust anyone more than you," I replied blushing. Beckett started walking over here and sat down next to me. He elbowed me the stomach and then pulled me into a hug. "I've missed you. I missed you most because I know that I could always count on you for anything."
"Thanks little sis," he replied shoving me to the ground, "battle time."
"NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed as he threw a magazine at me, "I am not battling you right now. Especially in the middle of a place like this. They would literally kill us."
"Sergeant?" Grygh whispered.
I looked up to see Conrad Sergeant staring down at me. "Good morning, sir," I greeted standing up.
"Good morning to you too, Nealen," he replied.
"Sir, I've asked you not to call me Nealen but to call me Alessa," I informed him.
He looked at me like I was crazy or something. "Um, this is my first time meeting you," he replied, "I've only seen the files on you."
"Wait," I muttered, "that means there really was a shifter in your place!"
"A shifter took my position yes," he replied, "but he was caught and executed. Nothing like that should ever happen again. They were actually here to get you."
"Why me?" I asked.
"You are a very unusual girl, Alessa," he laughed, "but you are also one of a kind. My company needs to do some test to see if your connection is real and is actually true."
"My what!!" I exclaim, "I can assure you my connection is real, sir, I wouldn't be able to hear the stupid telephone ringing in my head that won't go away. My connection will be a new break through and you won't have anything to do with it. I will do it on my own because you cannot force me and if you will excuse me I have a doctor's appointment I'm going to be late for."
I shoved past him and headed towards the front desk. "Alessa Nealen, this is not over with!!" he yelled, "I will make sure of that."
"Thanks for letting me know," I yelled walking into one of the offices.
I was at the appointment for what felt like two to three hours. When we finally walked out the doctor declared I was healthy and that they were just a few bumps I've had to deal with. Just as long as I don't have any broken bones I am fine. I really don't care what was wrong. "Devin, we need to talk," I said walking up to her.
"What do you want?" she demanded.
"Well I know that you are a shifter," I whispered into her ear.
"How do you know that?" she demanded
"Well you just told me that you are," I laughed, "have a good rest of your day."
I smiled and walked up to Colton and told him what was going on. He seemed very happy to hear that I was doing fine. He is like the second brother that I've never had. Beckett and him are more protective over me than everyone else combined. I grew up with both of them though so they both are like my older brothers. If you have one of them then you have both of them. "Alessa, you better start watching your back," Grygh informed walking over here, "You've pissed of one two many people today."
"Well just so you know," I informed, "Devin is a shifter and a DC."
"What?!?!" Grygh exclaimed, "she can't be both."
"Well she is," I said.
Grygh grabbed my arms were the bruises were. He gripped tighter again. "God dammit," Colton mumbled as he saw what Grygh was doing. "Grygh Elliot Colton, let go of her.'' Grygh's grip started to get tighter on my arms. Colton walked up to him and whispered," brother, come one and let her go."
He squeezed my arms tighter and I cried out, "LET ME GO!!"
Holen walked into the office and saw Grygh gripping my arms. He came up and punched Grygh in the face again. Grygh was knocked to the ground and I fell back into Colton's arms. My arms are on fire and started to turn black and blue. "God fucking dammit," Grygh yelled, "I did it fucking again." He looked up and saw my arms turning black and blue. His eyes went full of regret. "I'm so sorry."
He stood up started to walk this way when Markus and Zake stepped in front of him before he could get any closer to me. Colton helped me stand but I fell backwards again. "I don't think she has very much strength left," Colton whispered, "I don't think she'll be able to travel anytime soon."
