Bright florescent lights were shining over me. Where am, I thought, why am I not at home in bed. Or even at Alison's party. I look around to see that it isn't like any other hospital I've ever been in. All the machines look like they are from Star Trek or something along those lines. "Alessa, you're awake," a doctor said walking into the room, "How are you feeling?"

"Where am I?" I wondered aloud, "and why am I in a hospital?"

"Alessa, where do you think you are?" the doctor asked looking at me questionily.

"Is this a joke or something?" I answered.

"Grygh, you might want to get in here," the doctor worried.

A boy with grey-blue eyes and blonde hair. He looked like he hasn't slept in days. His face seemed to brighten up when he saw me. "Alessa?" he whispered.

"Who are you?" I asked, "and why am I not at Alison's party?"

"Alessa, I'm Grygh Colton," he replied whispering to me, "an it has been five days since Alison's party. Do you remember anything from the last five days?"

"I was just in Drive and there was a new student named Grygh Harper," I explained, "I'm suppose to be showing him around the school today. He looks just like you."

"Alessa, I am Grygh Harper," he said, "I lied to the school distract to get in the school. I couldn't give them my real identity because people in your world are out to get my kind. If they find out that I was there to protect you from them then they would end you not caring who else they killed with you. Alessa, you can travel through different dimensions."

My face must have been full of shock because the machines started to go off like crazy. Then this old telephone noise started ringing. "Do you here that?" I asked.

"She's going to start fading here soon," the doctor said.

Nurses started running around. One of them came running with a syringe in hand. I memory flashed through my head, Grygh was putting a syringe in my arm. I was fading into nothing. The ringing sound was going through my head really loud. When all the liquid was out of the syringe and in my body I felt myself come back into reality and the ringing stop. "Hurry and put that god forsaken syringe in my body," I yelled, "I need this fucking ringing to stop."

"How do you know what's in the syringe and what will happen if it is in you?" Grygh questioned.

"Oh shut up, Grygh," I screamed, "I had a memory return. Still don't know what day it is or how I got here."

"That could mean that she might get her memories back as she starts to fade," the doctor wondered aloud, "we need to let her fade."

"For fuck no," Grygh yelled, "I'm not going to let you do an experiment that she could die from."

"The she you idiots are talking about are in this room," I yelled out in pain, "so put the syringe in me before I die." I was starting to get frustrated while feeling sick to my stomach. "I'm gonna puke."

Someone brought a trash can over and I puked in it. "Well we've never seen that happen before," the doctor amused.

"Put the syringe thing in me please," I beg, "It hurts a lot."

Tears were streaming down my face. My head felt like it was going to explode from the ring. Another flash back happens. "Nice to meet you, Devin, I'm Alessa," I greeted.

I think I am starting to believe the whole Dimensional Travel thing but I don't think I'll ever fully understand it. I don't get how they can understand any of it but I guess they can because they've grown up around it. I might've always heard the ringing but I never really noticed it until now. I think it was Grygh that caused me to actually start to hear the ringing. I think being around another DC is what caused it all to start. None of this would be happening if Grygh never showed up. I would still be at home during my Junior year of high school perfectly normal. "What caused the ringing in my head to start?" I questioned.

"Well my theory is that you came to the right age where without using your abilities caused you to experience side effects," Grygh stated, "most kids that don't use their a abilities normally experience some side effect at about the age of 16 or 17."

"Most kids also start to use their abilities around the age of 8 or 9 when they are starting to grow," Devin explained, "since you have a different type of abilities there is no telling what might happen to you or those around you. We need to start your training as soon as possible."

Someone stabbed the syringe in my arm making the ringing stop. "Thank you God," I sighed in relief, "Where's Devin?"

"Well now she remembers Devin," Grygh mumbled, "That's one person that you would have wished you forgot."

I started thinking about being next to Grygh so I could punch him. When I open my eyes again I was next to him. I pushed my fist into his gut. "What? How?" another doctor exclaimed, "but she's human."

"Your powers are working," Grygh moaned, "but why punch me in the gut?"

"You're a jerk," I informed, "now where is Devin or I'm gonna travel to her?"

"Not telling you," the second doctor said, "you are a human that can travel. You are staying here for DNA testing. You are going to be a new spices."

"Lucky me," I replied sarcastically, "Whoever gave you consent to keep me here for so long."

I started thinking of Devin. I pictured her in the DC's training room. I traveled and saw tons of people staring at me. Well crap. I'm somewhere that I've never seen before. I hope I'm safe here.
