We stopped on a floor that was covered in mats. The walls, ceiling, and floor were all covered in them. People were everywhere traveling around from dimension to dimension. It looked as if they were fighting each other. "Guys, Colton, returned with a new one," some yelled causing everyone to stop.

"Can you tell us what your mission was now, Colton?" a girl asked walking up to us, "since you've completed it."

"No," Grygh replied in a stern voice, "because it's not over yet."

"She doesn't have Aurora," a boy called out, "only DCs can exit the elevator and all DCs are starlings."

The ringing start up in my head again. It was louder than it's ever been before. "She's not a starling," Grygh answered, "but she is a DC."

I put my hands over my ears as the ringing got louder and louder. I screamed. When I screamed I must have startled everyone because they all looked around confused. "Dammit, it was suppose to work for another two hours," Grygh whispered pulling out a syringe. His hands were shaking as he tried to put it in my arm. He missed and almost stabbed me in the gut. "Shit."

"What is going on with her?" a little girl asked.

By that time I was shaking because the ringing was so loud. I felt as if I should faint to get the ringing to stop. I didn't though because I don't know what will happen if I do. "She is hearing an old phone ringing that no one else can here," Grygh explained, "the liquid in this syringe should stop the ringing for continuing for a few hours. If I don't give it to her it is possible that the ringing will kill her. Here soon she start fading away. That is what it looks like if we are in slow motion trying to travel to a different dimension. Instead she will die if she fades all the way away. If that happens then a new breakthrough won't be made and it's possible shifters will destroy us all."

"Let me do it then," the girl from earlier volunteer.

I screamed again. The girl had the syringe in her hand and was slowly putting it in my arm. The ringing was starting to get quieter. It completely went quiet when everything in the syringe was in my body. I could feel myself fading back into reality. Breathing was getting easier. "I hate that stupid connection," I mumbled.

"Alessa, your connection is unique," Grygh started, "You're the only person in the universe with this connection with that you might find a new type of dimensional travel and you might be able to do the dimensional travel. If so you are the most unique person alive."

"Umm, I didn't understand half of what you just said," I answered truthfully.

"He's saying that you might be the only person to travel to undiscovered dimensions," the girl explained, "and I am Devin."

"Nice to meet you, Devin, I'm Alessa," I greeted.

I think I am starting to believe the whole Dimensional Travel thing but I don't think I'll ever fully understand it. I don't get how they can understand any of it but I guess they can because they've grown up around it. I might've always heard the ringing but I never really noticed it until now. I think it was Grygh that caused me to actually start to hear the ringing. I think being around another DC is what caused it all to start. None of this would be happening if Grygh never showed up. I would still be at home during my Junior year of high school perfectly normal. "What caused the ringing in my head to start?" I questioned.

"Well my theory is that you came to the right age where without using your abilities caused you to experience side effects," Grygh stated, "most kids that don't use their a abilities normally experience some side effect at about the age of 16 or 17."

"Most kids also start to use their abilities around the age of 8 or 9 when they are starting to grow," Devin explained, "since you have a different type of abilities there is no telling what might happen to you or those around you. We need to start your training as soon as possible."
