So I was on my way to the park room and the elevator stopped. The doors opened, and, low and behold, there stood the boy. I mean THE boy. It was awkwardly silent until he said,
"Are you new here?"
"Uhh yeah." I said, letting my true shyness shine through.
"Oh, cool. What's your name?"
"I'm Kamila." The doors opened to his floor. He walked out and turned to face me.
"I'm-" and the doors closed.
"UUUUGGGGH!" I screamed, "So close." I need to figure out his name, but for right now this is my only free time to explore before my classes start. In about 30 seconds, I was on the correct floor. I rushed out of the elevator, and looked at my watch, it is 5:08.
"I still have plenty of time," I thought.
I walked down the long hallway and came to the door.
"Park room." I read aloud.
Hastily, I turned the knob and looked around the corner of the door.
"Wow!" I practically yelled. Good thing that no one was in there.
The park room was a ginormous space with real grass, trees, benches, and even flowers. It looks like you could skip off into the sunset, but we're really 28 floors up. Strange.
I slowly walked in and sat on one of the benches, letting the door shut behind me. I looked up, to see a bright blue sky and real-looking clouds. This place is amazing! I spent the rest of my evening just sitting there, soaking it all in. At about 10:00, I decided that it was time to go.
"I am going to come here every day," I promised myself.
I took the elevator back down to my floor and headed down the hallway. I took out my hall-pass-thingy and opened the door. My bed was all made up and a fresh stock of towels in the bathroom. It's like a hotel.
I looked at the big clock on the wall. It's almost 10:25. I hopped in the shower and then settled into some silk pajamas, I mean, might as well take advantage of this place.
