Now that everything was back to normal with Matt and I, I was much happier. Our relationship was very sappy and cliché. We held hands as we walked down the hallway and stared lovingly at each other. Then one day that all stopped. After 1st period, I set out to the bubble room. When I saw that Matt wasn't there, I patiently waited on the bench for him to come. After a half hour, he still hadn't shown up. I nervously glanced at my watch, as I was going to be late for my second class if he didn't come soon.
After waiting a few more minutes, I gave up. I pushed open the door to the hallway as tears formed in my eyes. I ran to the elevator and wiped the burning tears away. I had to concentrate and get to my next class on time. I pushed the button for the 3rd floor and was stopped at the 10th.
"Oh great," I thought,"now I'm really going to be late."
Another student whom I had never seen before was behind the elevator doors, and he smiled politely as he walked in. But I wasn't concentrated on the student. I was too busy looking beyond him at Matt. With another girl.
