Matt and this other girl were making out so intensely, it was disgusting. Not caring about my next class, I stopped the elevator doors from closing and walked right up to him. The noises they were making were even worse.
"Uh excuse me, Matt?"I said, tapping his shoulder.
"I'm kinda busy right now-" he started. But when he turned and saw it was me, his eyes widened with fear. Like his worst nightmare had come true. Now I spoke to the girl.
"Hey, um, I don't know who you are but Matt's cheating on us both."
The girl angrily stomped on Matt's foot and took my arm. With that we ran away to the safety of the elevator, and later, her room. After only knowing her for a few minutes, I knew we were going to be friends for a long time. We sat there, on her bed, crying our eyes out. After the last tissue was thrown away, we started asking each other real questions.
"What's your name?"
"Claire."
"How long have you and Matt been dating?"
"A couple months."
"Hmmm. We've only been dating for a couple weeks. But I'm glad that's over."
As soon as I said that, we both knew it wasn't true. We, once again, collapsed in a heap of tears."Let's face it," I said, finishing my second bowl of ice cream. "Matt was the perfect guy. It's no wonder that we're still crying even after we found out how bad he actually is."
In a few hours, it was time to go home. Funny, I just called my dorm room "home."
