"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Marry him? He's the love of my life, Devin. I've wanted to do this since the day I met him."

"No, not that. Do you feel well enough? We still haven't found the person who's after us."

Aphelia held onto her stomach as I brought up the recent memory. It had been a few days since the incident, and Graizen has been avoiding me. I keep replaying the look of pure desperation and fear he had in his eyes when I woke up in his arms. In that moment, I knew that I loved him. I knew that he was the only person on this earth for me.

"The human has got a point."

I turned my attention to Micah. Her and Aster were both in Aphelia 's room with me. We were all getting dressed for the ceremony. It was supposed to start in mere hours. Aphelia looked like an angel, her dress flowed to the ground like water.

"Ryker and I have already decided this. We don't want to wait another day."

Aster smiled, placing a hand onto Aphelia 's shoulder. "Then, we'll do it today. You're not going to worry about anything. You and Ryker are going to have a beautiful wedding, and it'll be the best day of your life."

Aphelia gently smiled, as she stared at her dress in the mirror.

"I wish my parents were here to see this."

I frowned, looking into her eyes. I didn't want to question where her parents were. I know that her sister died, so we were really all she had. I stood next to her, holding her hand in mine as I looked at her beautiful figure in the mirror.

    "Let's do this."

I walked around the town square, making sure everyone was in place. Aster, Micah and I were all of Aphelia's bridal party. Rayner was Ryker's best man, and Graizen was Ryker's only groomsmen. I frowned, wishing that Jax was here to see this. I was wearing a floor length scarlet dress, with a small slit going up the side. I quickly fixed it as I made my way to the town square.

    Wow.

I smiled to myself as I looked at the beauty before my eyes. The town square was covered in flowers, white and red, all around. All of the flowers were floating in the air, vines growing from every direction. Chairs were set up in rows, with red ribbon elegantly hanging at the end of each aisle. At the end of the aisle, there was a huge arch that was covered in glowing lights. People were already starting to find their seats as I looked all around. My eyes spotted Rayner. I quickly ran to him, holding my dress so it wouldn't drag on the ground. He was wearing an all-black tux, with a red bowtie. He looked like a completely different person. His everyday outfit consisted of black jeans and a black t-shirt.

    "Rayner!"

He turned around, his eyes widening as he faced me.

"You know that whole brotherly protectiveness feeling thing?"

I raised an eyebrow at him as he glanced in all directions.

"I'm feeling that right now. A lot. Are you sure you want to wear a dress like that? I mean, I don't feel like getting into a fight with Graizen today. Or Locke. Or any other guy for that matter because-"

"Rayner!" I slapped his arm, quickly silencing him.

"The wedding is about to start! Where's Ryker?"

He looked behind me, pointing straight ahead. I turned around, relaxing as my eyes landed on Ryker. He looked nervous as I approached him. He was in a black tux, with a red vest and white dress shirt underneath. His hands were fixing his matching red tie as he let out a shaky smile.

    "Are you ready?"

"Are you sure you want to wear that dress?"

I rolled my eyes, ignoring his question.

"I'm going to start lining everyone up." I informed him as I placed a hand onto his shoulder. He nodded, a look of excitement in his eyes. I genuinely smiled before turning to go away.

    "Devin!"

I turned back to face Ryker, as an unreadable look crossed his face.

    "I'm really glad you're here."

I teared up, pulling him into a hug as I closed my eyes. "Me too." I quickly wiped my eyes as I let go of him, walking to the end of the aisle. I looked around at everyone. Aphelia looked nervous as she fixed her dress, Aster and Micah assuring her she looked drop dead gorgeous. Rayner had a bored expression on his face as he glanced at his watch.

    "Where's Graizen?"

"I thought he was with you?" Aphelia quickly questioned. Her eyes went wide, as I saw a look of panic sweep over her face. I held onto her hands, as I thought popped into my head. He had to be there.

    "I'll go find him."
