Fumikage and Hikari silently stared out the window of the bus, watching the colours of the world fly past in blurs. She had not said a word for days, hiding the bandages around her entire torso and chest and her right thigh. She convinced Chiyo that she had a tussle with some thugs while unarmed and leaving the fight with large, long gashes across her back and thigh. She said she had stopped the bleeding herself and washed the cuts which was true, although it was hard. There was no way Hikari would let anyone know what happened. Luckily, Chiyo did not question her and told Aizawa of her wounds. He let her stand by him during the physically strenuous exercises, but she had to be included in the activities she could use her Quirk for. Still, she considered herself lucky she did not get stitches; usually deep gashes like those would need them, but in her case the stitches would just rip apart when she walked or turned or sat.
The bus unloaded at a cliff overlooking a forest. Hikari bit at her lip, subconsciously staying by Fumikage's side. The other car that was parked nearby gave away the fact the class was not just resting here. And that class 1-B had not stopped here either.
"You don't really think we stopped here just to rest, do you?" Aizawa asked.
Knew it.
The doors to the car flung open and a female cooed. "Heya, Eraser."
"Long time no see." He mumbled, head hung low.
"Your feline fantasies are here! Say meow~" One of the females said.
"Purrr-fectly cute and cat-like heroes!" The other said.
They spoke in sync. "You can call us the Wild, Wild...Pussycats!"
The two posed, a small boy standing to the side. Hikari recognized the blue one as Ryuko Tsuchikawa (Pixie-Bob) and the rose one as Shino Sosaki (Mandalay).
"These are the Pro Heroes you'll be working with at the summer training camp."
Izuku went on to explain them excitedly before Ryuko slammed a paw over his face.
"I'm pretty sure your math must be off." She hissed. "I'm eighteen at heart!"
"U-Understood..." Izuku mumbled.
"Everyone, say hello." Aizawa droned.
"Hello! Nice to meet you." The class, except for Hikari, chimed. The blackette looked out over the forest curiously.
Shino began speaking. "We own this stretch of this land out here. Everything you can see."
Is that considered bragging...?
"The summer camp you're staying at is there, at the base of the mountain."
Wait. Say what?
"Then why did we stop all the way up here, instead?" Ochaco asked. Hikari's eyes widened. They're not seriously gonna-?! Her gaze snapped to the base of the mountain.
"The current time is nine-thirty in the morning..." Shino grinned. "If you're fast about it...you might make it there by noon."
Fast?! In my condition?! Hikari felt the need to scream out. She looked to Aizawa, but he just rose a brow at her and looked away. Is he gonna just let this happen?!
"Kitties who don't make it there by twelve-thirty don't get any lunch~!" Shino sang as the class began rush back to the bus.
"You should've guessed, students. The training camp...has already begun." Aizawa did not bat eye. Ryuko used her Quirk to send the entire class off the cliff with a rush of dirt, knocking Hikari off her feet. Soaring through the air, she knew this day would only end badly for her if she did not end at the bottom of the cliff. When she hit the ground, she landed on her back. Pain rocketed through her body as the wound on her back was ripped open again. She let out a scream.
"Who just screamed?" She heard a student say.
"Is everyone alright?!" She heard Tenya next.
They can't know. Before the dust could settled, Hikari stumbled to her feet and took off into the forest, vaguely hearing Shino say something but unable to make out what. She ran for a few moments before she ran into it. A forest beast made of roots, stone and dirt. There's no way I can fight with an open wound on my back-! She activated her Quirk as the beast rose a paw. As it came down, Hikari jumped-
-and fell to the ground an inch away. Her Quirk had not heated up enough to activate and was not hot enough to use her jet shoes so she could dodge. The beast's claws slammed down on her and she was knocked unconscious."Uh-oh..." Ryuko cringed and turned to Aizawa and Shino. "Uhm...guys? We-uh-got a little problem."
"What is it?" Aizawa asked, walking over with Shino in tow.
"Are one of your students Quirkless? She didn't dodge one of my monster's attacks. I tried to pull back but the momentum was enough to knock her unconscious. She's bleeding too, but there's no way what I did could've killed her or even broke skin!"
Aizawa gave a sigh. "It has to be Chiba. Long black hair? Skin entirely white?"
"Yes..."
"That's her. Don't worry. She was already wounded. No doubt you ended up opening her old wound. Let her wake up on her own. If she doesn't wake up in a minute, I'll get her."
"If she was hurt, why did you send her in?" Shino asked, frowning. "For all we know, Pixie-Bob could have hurt her when she sent the students down to the forest!"
"Because she's the most fragile of them all. A few hits will knock her down. She doesn't have the strength to run on pure will like Midoriya or Bakugo. I'm assuming this training camp will be more mental exercise than physical for her."
