~ A/N: This chapter won't follow so closely to the anime like the last one did, by the way! I don't like just repeating the anime, so I'm trying to keep it original by skipping some bits and adding new perspectives. If you don't like this, then this fanfic may not be for you, sorry!! - Alex-Jade Wolf ~
"I AM...HEEERREEE!!"
Hikari jumped in her seat at the loud voice, nearly sweeping her journal off her desk. When she saw All Might, AKA Toshinori Yagi, hanging in the doorway, she giggled lightly.
"Coming through the door like a hero!" The blonde boomed. Some students gasped, Hikari included.
"I can't believe it's really All Might!" Denki exclaimed. The students began to talk among themselves in astonishment as Hikari looked down at her journal again, closing it and setting her pencil aside. The memory of last night flashed through her mind, of when she first held the black and white standard journal.
"Yo, Chiba."
Hikari hummed and turned around in her seat, facing away from the bar. Kenji Hikiishi, also known as Big Sis Magne, walked towards her with a book in hand.
"Found this while I was out and figured if any of us could put this shit to use, it'd be you." Kenji dropped a standard student's black and white journal on the bar in front of the blackette. "Draw in it or use it as a diary or death note or whatever. I don't care. I just don't want it."
Blinking in surprise at receiving a gift, even if it would have gone in the trash otherwise, Hikari felt as if a sun was trapped in her chest, warming her up. It made her very happy to be thought of, even if the retreating form of Kenji probably could not care less and forgot about it five minutes later.
Hikari lifted the journal up and hugged it to her chest, grinning dorkily as thoughts of what she could fill the journal with buzzed in her mind.
"Welcome to the most important class at U.A. High." Toshinori's voice snapped Hikari back to attention. She lifted her gaze to watch the hero. "Think of it as 'Hero-ing 101'. Here, you will learn the basics of being a Pro. And what it means to fight in the name of good! Let's get into it!"
As the hero posed, Hikari mumbled to herself. "Quite a showboat, huh?"
"Today's lessons will pull no punches! But one of the keys of being a hero is...looking good!"
The class followed Toshinori's finger to three shelves extending from the wall.
"These were designed for you based on your Quirk registration forms and the requests you sent in before school started."
That's right, the request... Hikari's eyes widened slightly as she remembered what she sent in. She had left her paper blank, except for the words 'surprise me' she wrote in the center. Unlike many kids who wished to be heroes, she never actually imagined what her costume would look like. In all honesty, she did not believe she would grow into person of importance at all, actually. Yet here she was, at the most famous school for aspiring heroes. I guess that makes this costume all the more special and a bigger surprise...
And what a surprise it was.
"I'm not sure if I love it or hate it..." Hikari whined, hugging her cloak around her form tightly. Naturally, her costume had to show as much skin as possible, within modesty range. However, she was beginning to believe she would never get used to it. To her luck, the creators of her costume took this into account and provided her with a cloak she could cover herself with when she was not in battle.
