~ A/N: I CHANGED THE PRACTICAL PAIRINGS UP SLIGHTLY!! Aizawa says he pairs the students and teachers up by their fighting style, relationships, ect. So I changed them to fit Hikari in since her style and relations did not fit with Sado's! Sorry if you liked the previous pairs better!! - Alex-Jade Wolf ~
"What if they find out? What if they learn it was me? They'll lock me up or worse....will you come for me? Will you send someone to get me? No man left behind, right? I'm indispensable...aren't I?"
"No."
"B-But they'll hurt me...they'll kill me!"
"Collateral damage."
"...'that's all you'll ever be'." Hikari quoted, eyes glued to the door in front of her. She flexed her jaw, eyes dull and mind numb as she reached out and pushed the door open. She shuffled into the messy office and bee-lined to the desk, shuffling through papers. Her heart thumped faster and faster the more papers she pushed aside. No, no, no, wrong, no. Getting frustrated and scared for what would happen if she did not find what she needed, Hikari jumped between file cabinets, digging through the papers until she thought she had been in the office for too long. She stepped backwards, resisting the urge to give in to her weak knees. She shoved out of Hawks' office and ran down to the lobby where Fumikage awaited her, ready to end the day. They agreed to walk instead of take the train as a way of exercise, so the two students began their trek to their neighborhood.
"Are you sure you're alright, Hikari?"
The blackette looked to Fumikage before giving a gentle smile. "Yes..." I can't forget. I still have my friends. I'm not alone in this. "...thank you."
Fumikage parted his beak, but a certain hothead's voice rang out. "-see some bad guys, we can beat 'em up on the spot!"
"Incorrect."
Hikari's eyes snapped to Katsuki (with a questionable new hairstyle) and the Best Jeanist, AKA Tsunagu Hakamata. Lucky hothead...I would've loved to be interning with the Best Jeanist, but his Quirk just wouldn't help me out...and I didn't get a recruitment from him anyway.
Her attention was pulled back when three small boys called out to Katsuki. Fumikage sighed and stopped when he realized Hikari was no longer following, caught up in staring at the blonde student from a few feet away. He backtracked and watched as well, arms crossed.
"I've seen that blonde guy on TV before!" The middle boy said, pointing at Katsuki. "Yeah, an ooze villain caught him and he almost cried like a baby!"
Hikari covered her mouth, stifling a giggle. Aw...how cute. She caught herself and frowned. Did I just call him cute? Sticking her tongue out, she shook that thought away. I'm sure I would cry too...
Katsuki's hair poofed back out into its natural spikes as he shouted. "What did you say?!"
Hikari had to clamp both hands over her mouth, tears prickling her eyes as she used all her power to not burst into laughter. The three little boys whimpered and began to cry.
"Have you really forgotten everything I've taught you? Talk to them like a pro." Tsunagu chastised.
"Yeah. Fine." Katsuki sighed, hands on his hips.
Are...are those new jeans he's wearing? And...skinny jeans?
"Listen up! I wasn't helpless. I was just coming up with ways to fight him." Katsuki spoke harshly, glowering at the kids. "Sometimes a hero has to pretend he's been caught."
