Kiba's P.O.V.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I took my annual walk in the woods in the mid-day that followed of me and Shadow. We had been married for almost eleven months now, and I wouldn't want to replace any of the moments we had together. He was already eighteen and could change into a beautiful black wolf with blue eyes. I had just turned seventeen, and once I turn eighteen: I am going to be able to change into my wolf self. Part of me I think knows that once I do change, I have to leave this world to become the next guardian of the world Tsukiakari. Sighing, I continued on my walk.
While I was walking, I was just staring off into space; thinking, wondering, and hoping that when I do leave, my family won't be to upset or miss me too much. I looked up and saw that I had gone farther than I thought for my walk. "That's just great." I mumbled to myself as I looked around each tree that was here. Looking around, I saw a rock that a marking on it. I walked closer to it, and pulled back the branches of the bush in front of it. The mark was that line the one on my hand, a crescent moon. But it also has people of a wolf tribe under it.
"You finally came." I heard. The voice was that of a woman. I tired around and saw a tall woman, with gray hair and visible scars on her body. Her hood was up though, so I couldn't see her face. I was able to see a warm smile from her though. I politely smile back to her, but I wondered, was she expecting me? "You have the tail and ears of Tsukiakari, and you need to be able to defend yourself for an upcoming battle." The woman said in a warning tone. "Upcoming battle?" I echoed not buying what she was saying. She nodded to me, then turned around, motioning for me to follow her. I complied. We walked for a while, then finally we reached a cave. I was in awe at its size and the drawings on the walls of the cave. One caught my attention right away. It was a black and white wolf fighting a black wolf with red eyes. Immediately I had the memory of my dream when I was little, the one where that wolf attacked me. I bent my ears back and stepped away from the drawing. "That drawing there was something that has happened before. The battle between light and dark will happen again. And we are running out of time." She said walking over to me. I looked up to her, then back at the picture. I looked at the black and white wolf, and reached my hand out to touch it. When my fingers touched the paint of the fur, I knew, it was my destiny to become the next moon spirit, and to protect all who live on the earth. I took a deep breath and looked back at the woman. She motioned over to a shaded area of the cave. I saw silver armor that protected every part of my body, and I saw next to it, a bright silver sword. I imagined that I would use it for the battle. "Let us begin your training." She said.
???'s P.O.V.
So begins Kiba's training with me. I have to be sure that her fighting skills match those of her predecessor, the moon spirit before her. Kiba is training with the sword now, defending, cutting, and slicing her way around the clearing. She will need more training for the next few months. For on the night before she turns eighteen, the fight will begin. Even her family, the pastas, and the tribe must be ready for the shock, and battle of their lives. It will only be a miracle if no one is killed in that battle. I died once facing Zalgo, I will be sure he doesn't kill me again.
Day after day, Kiba comes to my cave to train herself for the battle. I help her by giving her an opponent to face. Her sword skills have gotten better, and she has experienced the pain and the suffering of what it means to be alive and well. I almost regret not telling her who I am yet, but I remembered a prophesy that was given to me as well as Kiba: "A wolf of ash fur, a wolf of darkened fur, and a wolf of black fur, joined by blood, will protect the one who guards them." The three wolves are those who will guard Kiba with their lives, she will be the one who protects them, and they will be the ones to protect her. I knew who they where, and where they are.
It was getting late, and Kiba had stopped her sword training. "That will be all for today Kiba. Head home to your family and be ready to train tomorrow when you get here." I told her. She nodded and placed the sword back with the armor. Kiba nodded to me and I nodded back, then she left.
I looked back at the armor and saw my reflection in its silver glow. I removed my hood and looked again. Scars on my neck, on my sides, and on my tail. My tail was ash gray, as well as my hair and ears. When I look at the scars, I remember the battle where I lost my mate Dark. The fight was vicious. I walked out of the cave and changed into my wolf form, looking up at the now forming night sky. I saw the first star, and I took a vow: when the battle comes back to the lake when the time comes, I will be ready to fight for my life, to protect Kiba, and my children. "I am Moon. And I will not let my family die in the battle." I growled, planting my paw on the ground, symboling my vow to the heavens.
Ok so that was Chapter 21 I hope you all enjoyed reading it and I bet you a reading this are at the edge of your seat looking at your screen saying "When is the fight going to happen? What will happen next? Who's Moon and is she part of the prophesy?"
The answer to all those questions and many more that you all might be asking is: you have to wait a little while until my next update. And I know in the picture that I have the girl has no wolf ears on her head, it was the only picture I could find of a girl with gray hair in a cloak.
Hope you all enjoyed and I will see you all soon.
