I looked up when I saw that Zalgo's weight was off my shoulders, and I saw something I will never forget: Kiba, now turned eighteen, has finally changed into her wolf self. A black tail that matches her tail in her human form; a black stripe that goes down her back, along with a stripe of black on her hips and shoulders, and down her forehead; two black stripes over her eyes, that end at her tuffs of cheek fur; and jet black paws up to her hackles for her back paws, and at the middle of her shins at her front paws; but still, she had the green eyes that I knew belonged to her. Her white and black fur was coated, and matted with the blood and cuts from her fight before changing.

Kiba padded behind me and helped me to my feet, and from how big her wolf self was, as well as the others, she could be as tall as me when she stands on her hind legs.

A smile was on her maw as I looked at her new self. My daughter was an adult now, I almost couldn't believe it. Zalgo changed into his wolf self, and growled at me and Kiba. He launched himself at us, and Kiba launched herself at him, both of them rolling down to the snow covered battle field, where everyone stopped fighting. Every wolf, and pasta, too stunned to fight anymore; seeing Kiba in her already injured wolf state.

I stood next to my brothers, and watched as both Kiba and Zalgo circled each other; growling, snarling, and snapping at one another. Kiba jumped at Zalgo, and he jumped higher, biting down on the back of her neck, bringing both down with blood flying. She clawed at his eyes as best as she could before he let go of her. I could feel my heart beating faster, just at the mear thought of Kiba losing this fight. If she didn't win, not only would I lose a daughter, I could lose my home to the bastard that called himself the "ruler of darkness".

Scarlet blood drops all over the crystal white snow, scraps of different colored fur to follow, and this fight seemed to not have an end.

Zalgo had pinned Kiba to the ground, and bit down hard on her hip. She yelled in pain as she reached over and bit into his stomach. He howled in pain, and tried to shake her off; nothing worked to get her off. He clawed at her already cut sides, and even her back, then bit down on the back of her neck one more time, making her let go. Zalgo then tossed Kiba away from him, having her roll in the snow, and upon hitting the ground, splattering her blood where she landed. Everyone stood in shock, because she was struggling to stand once more. Zalgo then began to walk towards her, then stopped when Shadow stood in his way. They had a momentary stand off before scrambling to try and kill one another.

Tooth and claw raged as Shadow was thrown off, but then replaced by Shade to fight. The woman stood next to me, calmly looking at the fighting. "Moon..." She whispered. I looked down at her. "My name is Moon." She looked up at me, a smile on her muzzle, and hope in her eyes. I was wondering why Moon was telling me her name now, and not before when we met her; but I nodded, as a greeting to her.

We both looked back to the battle, then I looked up to the moon. Its red light shining all around the snow covered trees, ground, and rocks. While I was staring at the moon, I heard a voice next to me. "A wolf of ash fur, a wolf of darkened fur, and a wolf of black fur, joined by blood, will protect the one who guards them." It said. I looked to see that it was Moon who said it, but why? "That prophecy talks about me and my two sons, Shade and Shadow, guarding the one who protects us. And that is the moon, and in turn, it is Kiba." She said jumping into the battle, and biting down onto Zalgo's back legs, as Shade was thrown into the brambles of the bushes.

I looked at the moon one last time, knowing that this battle might not end so soon; I needed to do something.

Kiba had finally gotten to her paws, and looked over at me. I looked back at her; using my power to communicate through her mind, I told her to grab her sword as her human self, and get ready for my signal. She nodded, and ran to her where her sword had landed on the ground when she shoved Zalgo off of me before taking the tumble down to the main battlefield. The sounds of bones breaking, and a howl in pain took my attention back to Zalgo; his fangs where deep in Moon's hips, breaking them, and possibly shattering them. Deciding I've had enough for standing by, watching as these three got hurt to protect Kiba, I jumped in. Using my tendrils, and my dagger-like claws, I pried Zalgo off of Moon, and kept him at bay for a moment.
