19. Indecisive brat

On hearing noise, everyone at the house rushed upstairs and Gautham was the one to reach first. When everyone stood still startled he punched the guy right at his face with much rage as if I was his girlfriend. I stopped him and requested to reveal his face. As he removed the mask, I was shocked to find it be Nithish who was behind all this commotion.

"Nithish, how come you are here? What was that earlier?" I asked him puzzled out by his behavior

"do you know this guy?", wincy questioned me

"Happy Birthday, buddy! I kinda thought of surprising you but things got messed up... still, I managed to make it a thrilling one... aren't I?", he winked at me and passed out.

He was right that was the most thrilling birthday surprise I ever had and it will remain one among the most unforgettable day of my life. I am sure it would be the same for everyone else at the mansion too. 

Later we treated him at the mansion itself on bringing the doctor to the mansion. After the doctor left I apologized to everyone present there on behalf of him for causing trouble and disturbing everyone's sleep.

"is tomorrow your birthday?" Wincy quired me.

"yes, mam I am sorry for-"

"Actually I was startled at first but still it was fun, never mind I pardon you this time, never repeat this again" Wincy stated in a stern tone sounding it enough to be a warning.

"that's it! don't be so cruel Wincy, she is your pa, not a slave, at least give her a day off tomorrow or throw a party", Sherly said to which Wincy and Aravind agreed with her.

The next day a small party was organized by Sherly as per her wish. Although everyone wished me and made my day pleasant my heart yearned for his wish. After I sliced the cake Nithish took some cream and whipped them on my cheek followed by that I started chasing him to do the same to him.

While I ran in haste with much laughter I got collided with Gautham and was about to fall off but he caught me at the right time just like before reminiscing back our memories. Gazing upon his each other both of us froze on in our position, lost in thoughts until Sherly whipped off cream on Gautham's face. I bet Sherly expected him to chase her back but instead, he walked off

"Okay now come with me there is a surprise for you", Nithish dragged me out of the mansion.

We roamed through the streets of Mumbai, visited many iconic places, played like mad children's at the beach, and finally reached a resort for dinner.

"thank you so much Nithish you made my day it is my best birthday ever" I exclaimed in joy

"no yet you still have one more gift to unwrap", he led me towards a way where the hallway was filled with roses and balloons. It felt like a fairytale for me. Inside the hall my parents and Harini welcomed me. On seeing them I ran and hugged them in joy. I was overwhelmed with joy in having all my dear ones gathered up in one place.

Later after sending off my family, myself and Nithish reached back the mansion late at 2 pm. I made arrangements for their stay and walked upstairs to my room. While I was on my way past Gautham's room I found him blocking my way. I glared at him, threatening him to move away.

"did you had a perfect date with that piece of shit?" he scowled triggering me to speak up.

"Who are you to call him a piece of shit? He is my best friend, I date him or not that's my problem how does it concern you? Anyways I will date anyone in the world other than you..."

"Earlier you stated him to be your boyfriend and now you state him to be your best friend, what happened? Did you got bored of him?", he scoffed

"When did I ever confess to you that I love him?"

"you didn't, but I witnessed it"

"What!?"

"I saw him proposing you that night, you even ignored my call and you both... hugged"

"hold on a second... on that day weren't you at Mumbai? how come you witnessed it?"

"What happened, did all your lies come to spotlight? Who were you trying to seduce this time? you sl-"

"don't you dare! dare not!" "and for your kind information you were wrong this time as well, I didn't accept his proposal that day and that hug was-"

"Why didn't you accept him? You always state him to perfect right?"

"because I loved you", I blurted out

"what!"

"i was a fool! I loved you although he was perfect in every way, I wanted you in my life, I wanted the ImPerFect YOU-" I screamed at him in the midst of whimpers. Before I could speak further his lips descended on mine in a swift, leaving me paralyzed.
