A/N : sorry for the delay. Didn't plan on taking so long to update but I'll have some questions below and I might talk about God  somewhere along the way so... If you not interested, you should probably stop here (which isn't what I want) but everyone's got their preference and I respect that. That out please do enjoy!!

“Does the pain ever goes away?” Bennett took a glance at Kristopher before shaking his head.

“It really doesn't, it just gets easier to deal with in time. The pain never really goes away but it dulls.”

Kristopher nodded but said nothing more, his fingers buried in Alec's black locks, playing with it lightly. He looks so vulnerable.

Jesse was sleeping on Bennett's lap. They've been there for hours, talking about everything and nothing, filling the deafening silence that the hospital room provides.

“How are you?” Bennett looked startled by the question. He didn't know how to answer that mainly because no one except from his girlfriend bothers to ask him and now he really doesn't know how to reply to that very simple question so he went for the normal reply, the less complicated reply.

“I'm okay.”

Kristopher smiled a bit with the shake of his head. “No you're not” He says softly. “your body language and your eyes are not agreeing on things and you hide it so well. I may seem caught up in my pain but you've become a friend and I notice and you're hurt. So tell me Bennett, please. How are you?”

Bennett didn't know what to say or know how to feel, this isn't the time to feel emotional, this isn't the time to drop his baggage on kit when he's still dealing but -

“I'm okay though-” He sighs and ran his fingers through his hair. “I'm exhausted, I'm drained mentally, physically and emotionally. I'm hurt, I'm lost but-” He shrugs, finding words difficult, like he couldn't find the right words to convey his emotions like right now. He feels he's not saying the actual words that explains how he feels for Kristopher to be able to understand.

“-but you've got Jesse now and you feel like you can do this, a new sense of hope and that's why you said you are okay because you believe with her there with you you'll be.” Kristopher completes with a small smile on his face.

Bennett was at loss for words. But how did he- he felt his tensed shoulders straightens, the heavyweight on his mind being lifted. Someone finally understands. Someone other than Jesse. My Jesse.

Kristopher saw the returning smile as they both fell into a comfortable silence.

Kristopher squeezed Alec's cold hands softly. "We gon be okay. We all gon be fine.” And with everything in him, he believes.

“Daniel you've been sloppy! I've received complains over the last three weeks, what the hell!!”

Daniel scoffed. “What the hell?” He asked bewildered, he obviously couldn't believe all this bull.

“What the hell is that you two are so obnoxious not to realize that your children are going through a very difficult time. When was the last time you saw your kids? The last time you saw or spoken to either Jesse or Alec?”

They both shifted uncomfortably.

“That's right you don't know. Alec's been in the hospital for three weeks in a coma, his boyfriends mother died in the accident that landed Alec in a coma, Jesse's been hanging on a thread trying to be there and provide support and I've got to be strong cause my baby brother is in the hospital bearly alive and my sister is hardly getting enough sleep and our parents couldn't care less and y'all got the guts to ask me that fucking disrespectful question?!”

Daniel was furious and for a good reason. He couldn't believe he tried making them proud. His parents stood still cause never in his twenty four years of living has he ever raised his voice at them and did he just say- “Alec's is gay!”

Her voice quivers. “Impossible” His father's voice came out as a whisper.

Daniel shook his head. ‘I'm so out of here’
His emotions threatening to explode, of all the things he said they only heard that? They indeed are a match made in heaven.

With the weight of the world on his shoulders, a fist calling for blood, a murderous glare and a lonely soul, Daniel stormed out of the house into the cold night.

“Fuck I miss Alec was the strong one. he thought.

Alec felt numb all over, he couldn't feel his legs or arms, he tired opening his mouth but nothing came out. Nothing moved. His throat burns and his eyes feels so heavy and his vision totally blur.

He tired opening his eyes he couldn't, he tired to move his body but only his fingers twitched. He began panicking, his heart rate escalating and he could hear distorted voices and rapid beeping sounds.

He tired relaxing but couldn't. He needs to move cause the pressure on his chest is becoming unbearable and he couldn't breathe.

Suddenly his panic was gone, he could breathe and his chest doesn't feel like Thor dropped his hammer on him. Everywhere was still for some seconds before his eyes opened and he was met with a blinding light.

Lmao don't kill me. I'm kidding, it's not the end. Obviously!  And if you've read to the end of this chap it means you've decided to stick and I'm grateful🙇 means a lot!

Well I'm trapped so I'm counting on you guys help.

Should Alexis drag the storyline toward Bennett's and Jesse's love life and Daniel's which would mean less of Kris and Alec or Alexis stick to Kit and Alec as the main focus?

How do you feel about the chapter or the book so far? Need improvements? In what areas?
