I pulled my shoulder-length hair up into a bun as I waited for a text from Heeyeon. Looking over towards the window, which was half reflective, I tried my best to check if my hair looked good enough. The view of Gangnam-gu was nice to watch as I tried to fix my bun as much as I could. My phone buzzed as I looked down at it.
The text was not from Heeyeon, it was from my mother.
Mochi, are you doing alright down there? Have you met your father yet?
I smiled. My mom never forgot to text me even with a troublemaker like Mingyu as my brother. But her nicknames were a little embarrassing sometimes.
Don't worry, mom. I'm fine. This place reminds me of Tokyo a little
I texted her back. As I smiled at my phone, a notification came from Kakao. I switched over to the app I had only downloaded because of Heeyeon, to see her text.
Hey, Minjae.
I showed your story to my sister and she told me that it was really good.
She wants to see you
My eyes widened as I read the messages over and over again. It was my dream come true. It really was a nice decision to come here after all!
Now that that is cleared out...
I texted, not able to contain my excitement.
You wanna do some Karaoke?
