I walked along the street Rand at my side without fail. Today was one of those rare unplanned days. I had decided I needed some polluted Gotham  air so I got Rand and we went out. It was cloudy sky was as clear as Gotham gets. I looked to my side at Rand who was looking was already looking at me.

I sent him a small smile before we turned into the park where we had agreed to go. I walked along the sidewalk looking for a bench to sit as Rand ran off to find something to play with. I only had to walk a few more feet before I found one but as soon as I sat down Rand came charging back with a stick in his mouth however that wasn't the problem.

The problem was that a huge black great Dane was following close after him. I groan and slump but quickly shot up to get to Rand first. I managed to meet Rand before the Dane and I snagged the stick out of his mouth.

I was going to give it back but by the time I turned around the Dane jumped on me. I groan as I hit the ground but the loud snarls of Rand pulled me out of the ack inside my head. I did not want to deal with a dog fight in the middle of Gotham public park.

I shoved the great Dane off of me and stood tall against Rand "Rand!" I snapped. The nasty look quickly vanished from his face as I glared at him. I herd him snort at me before turning his back to me and sitting in place.

I huff and blow a piece of stray hair out of my face before I turned to the great Dane. He sat patiently waiting for me to address him. I sigh and held my hand out for him to sniff and once he did I planted my hand on his head giving it a slight rub.

He leaned into my hand and I gave a slight smile. I kneeled to his Hight and pulled the tag of his caller into better view. His name and address printed on it. "Well Titus looks like your rolling with us for awhile." I sigh.

I herd Rand snarl at my comment but I just rolled my eyes. "Get over it Rand" I sigh. I knew where the address lead and I hopped to make it there before it got to late into the day. I whistle for Rand and needless to say I was surprised when Titus followed after. "Smart puppy" I smirk at him.

Titus barked but I snicker slightly when I saw Rand shove him with his own body. The whole way down the street they went back and forth between shoving one another until I finally had enough and told them to stop.

It didn't take as long as I thought to get to the giant house of the Wayne's. I stopped and looked at it but Titus seemed to be wagging his tail happly. I saw a buzzer on the large gate that blocked all of Gotham from the Wayne manner. I pressed the faded red button and a static ringing sounded out of the chunky box. I clicked the button two more times before a British voice rung out of the box. "can I help you?" he asked.

"Yes sir, I found the Wayne dog. I've just come to return him." I said casually but politely. The voice didn't answer but the giant gate did open. I rose an eyebrow at Rand before walking with Rand following behind me. However, Titus full on sprinted to the front door and just as he made it to the front steps the door opened and four boys stepped out.

I continued my slow walk to the door where the four boys stood. I reached the steps and the oldest looking one greeted me with a hand shake "thank you from bringing him home." he smiled charmingly. I ignored the slight flirty tone he used and kept a straight face.

"It's not a issue. I found him in Gotham park incase you wanted to know." I shrugged as I tucked my hands into the pockets of my coat. The man nodded and gave me a small smile. "here as thanks." he smiled as he handed me a envelope.

I assume he was handing me money. I didn't say anything as I turned sharply and walked down the stairs and to the gates. I whistle for Rand when I realized he was still there. "HEY WAI-" The guy yelled but before he could finish I was already at the gate.

I didn't look back as I walked threw the gates and back onto the streets of Gotham. "So much for a day off" I sigh. Rand let out a noise of agreement and I smiled. The streets started to get darker as the people around us rushed to get inside to get out of the dark night.

I continued to walk at a normal pace but I did pull my hood up to hide the fact that I was a girl. Not that it mattered much, but criminals tended to target woman more. And to be honest I really just want to go straight home than deal with a Gotham thug.

The streets got darker and less populated as we got closer to the building. The building came into view and I let out a sigh. Finally we were home.

I take out my keys as we approach the door but Rand rushed forward and shoved his head into a box that was placed on my door steps. I kneel at the box and slowly opened the slightly open flaps.

Inside was four tri-colored puppies. They looked mixed breed from  what I could tell. I smile at them and reached in to pet one but my hand met paper before a puppy. I frown as I pull the paper out and opened in up.

Inside was neat hand writing "Dear Anubis, I am sorry to drop them on like this but as far as I know you are the best place for them. Signed a sorry owner." I mutter out. I fold the paper back up and put it into my pocket.

"Well this is a first," I mutter to Rand as he nuzzled one of the puppies. A small smile played on my lips as I unlocked the door before carrying the puppies into the building. I pull each puppy out and set them on the lobby door as the resident mother dog lead them further into the building.

I took out the blanket that was placed in the box and folded it. I put it in the sleeping quarters on my way up to my own floor. Once I stepped threw my door I groan and stretch my body. I kicked off my shoes before walking further into the flat.

The first thing I did was change into a T-shirt and a pair of sweat pants. I then feed Rand his dinner before pulling left overs out of my fringe. I ate straight out of the container not bothering to heat it up. I finished what was left of the leftover and brushed my teeth right after.

I crawled into bed Rand not too far behind. I rolled onto my back as Rand lied on the end of the bed. I fell asleep before it even registered how tired I was.
