Chapter 5

I walk threw the door only to meet the back of a man I assume is Bruce Wayne. I clear my throat and crossed my arms. the man turned around with and flashed me a playboy smile. "Ah Anubis how kind of you to come in," He grinned.

I didn't say anything as I continued my way in and sat in a chair that sat in front of his desk. He gave me another shinning smile before sitting down himself. "If you don't mind Mr. Wayne I have another appointment to get to and I would like to get this done quickly," I told him politely.

His eyes widen and he gave me a apologetic smile "I apologize I guess your not one for small talk either," he smiled. "Afraid so," I answered bluntly. He handed the packet of paperwork and contracts before handing me a pen.

"the contract hasn't changed sense your last signing," He said as I looked threw the papers carefully "I'm aware Mr. Wayne I just like to refresh myself of the terms we had set up," I smile politely. I looked back at the papers and signed the line that would show up every now and then.

I signed the last line and handed the papers back, I stood to leave as Rand and May got up as well "If you don't mind I'd like to say somethings first," He rushed nervously as he smiled bashfully. I turned and looked down as May.

She looked at me before walking over to the chairs and plopping her and her heavy belly on the floor. I sigh and make my way over to the chairs to sit across from him again. I glance down at May as she lies on the floor.

"Expecting I assume," He grinned pairing over his desk to look at her. "Yes in fact we are suppose to drop her off at the vet today but as you can see..." I trailed "Things got a little mixed up," He answered bashfully.

Mr. Wayne then stood up and took out a small blanket he had tucked away in the room. I walked over but as Rand growled at him from his spot he didn't seem to scared. Rand stood from his lying position to confront the man but I quickly snap my fingers.

He now stood in front of me offering a blanket I took from his hands and quirked my eyebrow at him. "I have a dog at home, I took him in when he escaped a dog fighting ring." He answered my un-asked question.

My eyes rose in shock "Let me tell you, If I knew THE Anubis was the person who brought him home the other day I would have invited her in," He smiled. I roll my eyes at the some what childish man. It was hard to believe this man ran a multi-billion dollar company. Then again some people seem to find it hard to believe that a teenager has control of most of the canine population.

"that's vary kind of you Mr. Wayne but I would have refused just as I refused the money your sons offered me." I replied smoothly. He let out a laugh and sat in the chair next to me. "Please call me Bruce," He smiled charmingly.

"As much as I would like to I think you are far too old for me," I mused. His blue eyes widen in shock and his face became one of shock and embracement "I'm sorry if I came off that way. I didn't mean to come off as such," He smiled in a embarrassed fashion.

I let a short laugh leave my lips "Only joking Mr. Wayne," I laugh shortly. He seemed to relax but his expression held amusement and interest. "Now if you don't mind we really must be going," I say as I stood from my chair. Mr. Wayne stood with me "Yes of course I'm sorry for keeping you so long." He smiled.

"Not a problem. It was a pleasure to meet you Mr. Wayne." I wave him off as I left his office May and Rand trailing behind me. I sigh once his office doors closed behind me. I rub the back of my neck as I enter the elevator and pressed the lobby floor.

I stepped out as and glanced at Mary who sat at her desk once again. I pull out a small piece of paper and a pen before writing a small note on the paper. I slipped in a few hundred dollar bills I had on me into the paper before handing it to Rand.

He gently took in his mouth and trotted over to Mary. I causally walked past her and gave her a small flirty wave. Just as I passed threw the door I glance back and held the door open for Rand who came back empty.

I watched as her face blew up in a crimson color and shock. Her shocked expression shot over to me and I gave her a quick wink before leaving the building. I rush to the Van as I hear her yell after me and I quickly load in May and Rand before starting the car and pulling out.

By the time I pulled out Mary was standing at the entrance watching, her face still flushed.

Mary looked down at the paper and money in her hand and let out a small smile. On the paper was the words 'take care of your self -Anubis'. Mary let out a sigh before sitting at her desk again but was shocked when Bruce Wayne stood there waiting for her.

"What did she give you?" He asked. Mary didn't say anything as she simply handed him the money and paper. Bruce had counted 3 hundred dollars in total before he handed her back the money and looked down at the note.

The man snorted at the writing. 'And she said I was too old for her' he mused in his head. He knew he would definitely be checking in on this girl and her little dog ring.
