Valerie could not sleep at all. No matter what she tried, her eyelids were like two repelling forces going in opposite directions. She never felt torture like this before. Her mind flashed and jittered of the thoughts on going to be a season.

A rainbow of emotions stormed inside her. She is not going to become a season. She is not good enough. This was all just a hallucination.

Cruit claimed that he asked her parents beforehand. Maybe she wasn't crazy that it happened. It was two in the morning, and she would look crazy in front of her parents more than she already is.

School was also tomorrow, she could not absolutely tell anyone. She would be the school's lunatic, claiming that Valerie herself saw a season. Her friends didn't believe in the seasons anyways. The majority of the world doesn't either.

It was 5 AM. Valerie collectively only had two hours of sleep. She reached for her phone to check the time.

"5 AM? How much sleep did I get?" She angrily whispered.

She sighed and searched through the internet. Her eyes squinted repulsively, getting used to the blue light. The news feed flashed one thing.

PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD CLAIMED THEY SAW THE SEASON CRUIT

Her eyes sparked up with astonishment. They were brave enough to share they saw a season and did not care what others thought of them. She respected that, yet she empathized with the seasons since they blew their cover. They should of been aware of the risks of interacting with people.

She tapped on the news feed for a more detailed article. Apparently, others who have been enrolled posted that they saw the Season Cruit on their social medias within the twelfth hour. For her, she saw him three hours later.

Her mind was puzzled on why most claimed they saw him at 12:00 PM. Some claimed through 1-2 PM. Nevermind. She did not want to think deeply on this. There were also different timezones to consider.

Valerie arrived on the bus. She self consciously thought of what others would think about her that she saw Cruit too. Valerie made the decision to make it a secret just for the school week.

Okay, It's just for a week. No one needs to know about this.

Valerie had those repetitive thoughts in her head and stayed quiet for most of the ride. She noticed that Sadie was absent, so she stayed alone in the seat, blasting Indie music through her earbuds.

She arrived at school, not knowing what she was getting into. Her ears were open, ready to hear what was going on. She heard a few conversations about the Cruit Phenomenon. They thought it was a fake planned prank. She got it, it was 2020, the Seasons were as believable as the Greek Gods.

She needed to clench on this secret tighter. She was going to be the laughing stock of school by only telling one person. It could spread like a wildfire. Her exaggerations on what would happen made her gasp out loud.
