Sacreus felt as the long awaited hour has passed. The hour felt like eons as his body slumped in the lobby. He respected the boy's decision though.
He got up and his memory recalled the room name. Quattuor 8. Sacreus went up the flight of stairs, and reached floor Quattuor. He was already aware that he wasn't exhausted from the stairs. They were Levo stairs. They were a special flight of stairs that didn't deteriorate your energy.
He knocked on the boy's door, his body chilling from what to expect. The boy opened the door. He had a pale sullen face shining from the darkness his room was emitting.
"You can come in." The boy said.
Sacreus followed willingly. He noticed the dorm room had a dark lighting to it, and a piece of paper on the vacant bed. He looked at the note, wondering what it was for.
"I realized we never formally introduced ourselves. What's your name?" Sacreus asked.
"Oh, I'm Alvin."
"Nice to meet you Alvin," Sacreus paused, he couldn't reveal his true identity. He once again had to cover up with his alias. "I'm Zach."
"Now that we met. It's just I'm doing a little tribute for my roommate. The note is a letter on what I would say to him and my best wishes to his sleep. Even though I never met him, he didn't deserve to die. He should have deserved to have a chance to be a season." Alvin explained.
There was a quiet pause, which was unintentionally the moment of respectful silence for this unknown roommate.
"What's his name? He deserves to be recognized by his true identity rather than his death itself." His words were a mirror reflecting himself on what he said. He wanted to return to his true identity. A season, not a human.
"His name was Hayes Wicksaw. Rest In Peace, Hayes. Have a peaceful sleep." Alvin chillingly said.
There was another moment of silence. This time, it was longer and more meaningful. It was to remember Hayes. Not the person known as the dead roommate. It was momentarily peaceful silence until there was a harmonic note that played within the room.
The boys looked at each other, questioning where it came from.
"You are now dismissed for dinner. All Sitrans meet at the Triclinaria." It was a monotone voice, yet had a pleasant tone to it.
Sacreus felt interrupted, knowing that Him and Alvin we're trying to give a moment of silence to Hayes, but his stomach protested.
They headed towards the Triclinaria, and already saw many sitting down. They were conversing like it was an Autumn dinner, like a family. It reminded him of the Season Meetings. They felt like genuine family in his life.
Sacreus found a seat, and Alvin followed. He was glad he already made a friend already. It made him feel less of an outcast. The sound waves performed a decrescendo, as Bian went up the stage.
"Greetings Sitrans. I am Bian, Season of Life. I have gathered you all today for you to fulfill your hunger by providing food. Within our abilities, food will form on the tables within a few minutes."
The crowd waited patiently to see how food would form from thin air. Bian promised, and it felt like magic. Though, it was too fantastical for magic, it felt mystical. Sacreus talked with Alvin and ate with jolly.
