It was a good morning. The sun's light was gleaming through the window and the room's lighting was a pale darkness. Valerie's eyes loosened, it was the morning of the first trial day. She noticed Wallace awake, with her sitting on the table.

"Good morning, Valerie."

"Good morning Wallace. So, who's the season you're going to assist today?"

"I'm going to have Fieen. Season of Love."

"Lucky! I'm going to have Necro."

Wallace chuckled.

"Well, good luck about that."

The girls dressed into clothes they thought would be good for their according seasons. Valerie tried rummaging through her suitcase for anything black. She didn't want to be a rainbow in the presence of death himself. Wallace looked at the extra ties she packed, and wore a pink tie. There was a subtle difference, but it gave sensitive touch to her. On the other hand, Valerie looked resilient with the only black shirt she could find.

"So, how do I look?" Wallace asked.

"Never thought you would look good in pink, but actually you can pull it off!"

"Thanks! You actually don't look that bad in black yourself."

Valerie took the compliment and felt a slight tint of blush coming through her face. There was suddenly a pleasant note coming through the ceiling.

"Attention Sitrans, you are now dismissed for breakfast."

Valerie and Wallace looked at each other, then their stomachs. Valerie realized she was hungry.

Valerie and Wallace were enjoying each other's company, sharing laughs and finishing one breakfast plate over the next. Valerie noticed Spring come up the stage from the corner of her eye. She put a finger on her mouth, gesturing Wallace to be quiet.

"Good Morning Sitrans, this will be the first day of the trial period. You will go according to the season of the first name on the top of your map. We will dismiss you in ten minutes."

Spring walked away and Valerie's heart pounded at a fast rate. She was going to see a major season, up close and in person. She was going to see Death himself. The one who controls who dies.

Valerie ate her food at a noticeably slower speed. Her eyes were jolted with weariness like electricity shocked her upright. Wallace on the other hand was relaxed and was slouching like a sloth. Wallace probably didn't see much harm in love.

The room made another note and the food faded away without a trace.

"You are now dismissed."

Everyone got up and the crowds of people were pushing each other with diligence. Valerie already lost Wallace to the stampede and didn't even say goodbye.

Valerie walked slowly wondering if this was the right room. The door was solid black, with her soul already draining from the aura of the room. She looked at the map once again to double check.

"Come on in." The deep gravelly voice said.

Necro's room had stormy gray walls with skulls and bones hanging from the ceiling. She noticed the tombstones around the room with people already sitting on them. Were these the chairs? She saw others coming in while Necro was surprisingly inviting.

"Come on in and take a seat."

Once the room was full with everyone sitting on a tombstone, class was in session.

"Good morning, Sitrans. I am your trial period teacher for the first day. Necro, Season of Death."

Necro was interesting, most to say for the least. He had spiky black hair, black eyes, and had smoky gray skin. He wore a black trenchcoat and was barefoot. Valerie has never seen someone so soul-draining before.

Valerie expected Necro to be a glum and edgy guy, but by his tone of voice, he sounded happy about death.

"My instructions for you is to choose who gets to die. You will get to look at statistics and databases to see which person gets to die from whatever assigned cause I give you. Any questions?"

Valerie seemed so scared about this. She didn't want to be the cause of somebody's death. She definitely doesn't want to be under Necro for the rest of the year.

Valerie saw a hand go up from a random student.

"So, we get to murder innocent people?"

Necro looked as if he were about to face palm.

"No, not really. I can control the cause of death and who dies, but I can't control two variables. Suicide and homicide. You will choose who dies, I will do the killing."

Somebody in the corner snapped in disappointment.

Necro handed each student a laptop to do research in. When Valerie got hers it felt different from a regular laptop. It was lighter and she sensed power coursing through it.

"I handed each of you all a laptop. This not any type a laptop, this is a specialized laptop made by yours truly which is functional in providing a database of the list of people and statistics on the cause you will be assigned. Once you find the person who will die, you will send the person's files to me. There is a skull icon on the screen, when you click that, it automatically sends it to me."

Valerie opened her laptop to see what cause she would be working on. Car accidents. She started working in immediate regret.
