The Incredibles

☆ Chapter 11 ☆

Everything was moving in absurd speed. It has been a long time since I have last used this ability. It was during my birthday where I first discovered I had this ability, and when I last used it. I was excited to use it again. I kept my will strong as I used the ability carefully. I tried every ways and means to prevent myself from swaying my will.

As I sat on the chair, I fixed my eyes on Isaac, expecting him to zoom off to the yard to battle against George. However, all he did was to lie on his bed and slowly drift off to sleep. I was puzzled at what he did and wanted to stop the manipulation to see what really happens next.

"Normal." I tried this weird command once again since I did not want to risk using other commands that might not work. I had no time to waste as I wanted to get out of the manipulation effect as fast as I could lest something happen to me as my will to manipulate decreases. Every second of safety means a lot to me.

I opened my eyes after I chanted the certified-workable command. I gasped. Everything before me was still going at the incredibly fast speed. Perspiration formed on my forehead as I spammed chants that had a possibility of working. My heart was thumping rapidly as each chant proved useless. I breathed heavily as the dizziness started to come to me. I gasped for oxygen which would help me think better. It was futile. All my attempts of getting myself out of this trouble were not working. I tried to shout for help, but as I realised that the manipulation this time involves the whole surrounding, nobody in reality could have heard me, not until the fast-forwarded event that is before me now happens in the real world. However, by the time others heard me, I would not have survived. My eyelids were getting heavier and heavier and I gave in to my ability.

After I submitted myself to the horrifying ability, I gained conscious again inside my dream. Everything inside the dream was heavenly. I wondered whether I was really in heaven already. Afterall, the ability might have eaten up my life energy already. It must be in the human world right now, happily finding another owner dumb enough to have it. I was cursing on my ill-fated life when suddenly I heard a voice.

"Sherrie Reborse! I'm not horrifying you idiotic girl! And I have just made up my mind to meet you! Humph!" The voice sounded frustrated. I was shocked as I realised what this voice belonged to. It was my time manipulation ability.

"Um.. Hi? Ability...I suppose?"

The voice cleared her throat. "Yes, Sherrie Reborse, and it seems that you will be my owner. I'm Delphene, the time manipulation ability. I'm here to make a contract with you.... You have proved your worthiness of my appearance. You have used your ability on something that is worth it. Trying to prevent a fight between blood-related humans."

She meant between Isaac and George. And did she say contract? I'm finally going to make a contract? I was on seventh heavens. Sasha did mention that making a contract will prevent the ability from going mad, because the contracts binds the hearts of the Incredible and his ability.

"Delphene, how do we make the contract?" I asked.

"Easy, I'll just carve a magical sign on your hands and mine. A string is connected to this sign, and this string will go all the way to bind our hearts together. By doing this, I'll be your eternal friend and will never betray you, because if I did, I'll be betraying myself. And vice versa."

After Delphene explained, she came out from hiding. Before me then flew a fairy about the size of my palm. It had a solid body. I was amazed at the true form of my ability.

"Delphene here. Lets make the contract." The fairy opened her mouth and chanted magic words... Or should I say incredible words.

I looked at my hands. A bright light that traced to form the words SD(Sherrie Delphene) appeared on my hands. It shined brightly, and the light seemed incredible. As my eyes was fixed on my hands, the light blinded me and took me back to the real world.
