I stared hard at the cage, realising that there was no obvious changes taking place on the cage.

I bit my lips and paced back and forth trying to think of a way to hasten the process. Without Delphene chanting that spell with me, my ability was weaker than normal.

That time when I activated my ability without Delphene's help to see the future, hoping to discover the way to the Meadows, the time went quite slowly. It had taken me a minute to see the next 20 minutes. At this rate, it is going to take forever for the time of the cage to reach 3 days!

I shifted my eyesight to George's fight with Jasper and Asper. The fight seemed to be getting nowhere; George was merely blocking every one of their attacks. Jasper's and Asper's attacks were all deemed futile. George seemed to have no intentions of returning attacks, and all I could deduce was that he did not wish to fight with them.

Out of a sudden, Jasper disappeared again and invisible attacks were mysteriously aimed at George. This time, Jasper did not reappear instantly after the attacks. My eyes brightened as I scrutinized the happenings of the fight. This scene felt familiar. I experienced the frustration of trying to grasp what Jasper's ability could have been. It was so close, yet I couldn't reach it.

Disappearance and appearance by will...Sasha?

The familiar sensation I had was because of Sasha. That indicates that...Jasper's ability is also invisibility.

Both Jasper and Asper had normal incredible powers, but why were they chosen to become wielders of the dark powers and reside in the Meadows? The information I had at the moment was not sufficient for me to reach a conclusion to unravel this mystery.

From the corner of my eyes, I caught the fight between Isaac and the clone. While Isaac was already barely catching up to his breath, the clone was still in tip-top condition, except the fact that it had several damages to its body, specifically, holes. The sight of it disgusted me, but its holes were fruits of Isaac's labour.

As my interest was directed to Isaac's fight, I had my eyes on it. The clone and Isaac exchanged kicks and punches, and the clone would often direct it's dark powers to Isaac. Isaac always missed it by an inch, but it was better than getting hit.

D: Sherrie! We need to do something to speed your ability up!

"But you are taped at the mouth and can't chant the spell with me!"

D: That's true, but there's another way to get my powers across too, and most importantly, the powers will be stronger than the combined chants of you and me. Expected, it's a high level technique that drains a huge amount of our energies, and it has low success rates. For a beginner like you, it will only last for at most 30minutes, provided that you succeed. I've already calculated, 30minutes of usage will enable us to fast forward the time by 1 and a half days. Half a day have already passed by now, and after the technique, we would have left only 1 more day to pass.

"That would be great! Teach me the technique now!"

D: Sherrie! You do realise that you have to pay a huge consequence if you fail. Take for example, me going berserk...and you getting influenced by the dark power.

"You won't go berserk!" I hesitated. "And was that how Jasper and Asper got theirs?"

D: Yes...

Sensing the depression in Delphene, I immediately shifted the main consequence of this technique to the one where she could go crazy.

"I have absolute confidence in you! Teach me the technique!"

D: Alright! Then... First, hold on to the mark of contract on your palm. Concentrate all of your will to release us on the mark of contract. To do that.. Think of how much time we are losing if the manipulation effect stays at this rate...and the strong attachment you feel to us abilitials. If it succeeds, you will feel a surge of powers being transferred into you through the mark of contract. That would be the combined power of me and the mark of contract. Then, chat the spell again.

"Got it. Then I shall start n..." My voice trailed off when the corner of my eye caught something unexpected. Isaac was hit by the dark power emitted by the clone. I looked at him. His face told me that he was in an awful lot of pain.

As he laid back, his whole body aiming for the ground, I saw the effect of being hit by the dark power first-hand. My mouth was left agape, but no words could come out of my mouth, all that came out was a shout.

The clone was teleported back to Asper, after it had finished what it was assigned to do.

Isaac's eyes turned from its original sapphire to an ominous red. He got back on his feet as if it was an easy feat, given that he was injured and in the middle of laying back. What happened next was unbelievable.

Isaac paced towards me and within a few seconds, he sent a punch aimed for me. As I did not expect that, I was hit by the punch, square on the face. After I got back from my shock, the Isaac that was in front of me had the same dark aura surrounding him. I was at loss for what to do.

"Delphene!!!" My voice thundered all across the field.

D: Sherrie! This is not good, not good at all! Isaac's been hit by the dark power, and the clone, who is in turn controlled by Asper, is meddling with Isaac's brain now!

"What do I do to wake Isaac up?"

D: I don't know... But I've heard rumors like, if you've got the bright aura with you, you can smooth the dark powers.

"I don't have it!"

D: Make use of the technique I taught you just now...the bright aura as a resultant should be enough. However, you can only afford to use it once... Sherrie, go on and rescue Isaac, Dan and I can survive the long wait. Besides, Dan wants you to save Isaac too.

I gasped for air, and after much consideration, I nodded my head.

I opened my palms, and saw the SD mark on it. I got my other palm lay on top of the mark.

"Delphene, you ready?"

Delphene nodded her head.

I backed away from Isaac by giving him an impactful kick on his face and he laid on the ground. Guess his body couldn't make it through that kick after all.

I closed my eyes and focused all my will on my palms. We needed Isaac on our side; we couldn't afford to lose him. Dan wants Isaac to be safe too. George would be depressed if his grandson strays to the enemy's side. Isaac was a cool dude, I couldn't let him join the enemy.....

I slowly opened my eyes to check whether I had done that correctly. The mark of contract shone a light so blinding that I had to shut my eyes again.

D: Maintain your will, Sherrie!

I knew I had to, even if I did not have the ability to. The liveliness of many people were depending on whether I will succeed this time. George, Dan, Delphene, and me. All of us wanted Isaac to be safe.
