"Lauren... Lauren!" The thin (Y/H/C) yelled as she shook the raven haired girl.

Lauren looked around, dazed and confused, where was she.

"Lauren!"

Lauren sat up in shock, taking deep breaths as she clutched her chest.

"Laur, are you okay?" Camila asked as she entered the hospital room, concern etched in her features.

"I-I'm fine. What happened to the rogues?" She replied, looking around the room for her mate. "Where's (Y/N)?!" She asked, panicked when she couldn't see the small wolf anywhere.

"Calm down, Alpha. (Y/N) is with Ally just down the hall. She is safe and well guarded by Dinah." Camila told her, watching as Lauren relaxed and let out a breath of relieve. "And the rouges have been terminated and disposed of, Alpha. They are no longer your concern now." Camila finished.

"Good, I want double border patrol for the next few week though. Who know's where those rogues came from. We don't need any others coming to look for them." She told her Beta, running a hand through her hair.

Her thoughts ran back to the (Y/H/C) she saw. Who was she? She was beautiful... Ethereal.

She was pulled from her thoughts as a light scratching at the door gained her attention, watching Dinah from the small window open the door.

(Y/N) raced into the room making a v-line for the  bed and jumping to see Lauren.

It was amusing for the older girl to watch, just the top of her mates little head every five seconds.

Dinah took it upon herself to then pick up her Luna and place her on the bed, where Lauren and (Y/N) hugged each other and exchanged kisses and apologies.

"No leave." (Y/N) whimpered to her mate.

"I wont, I'm sorry I scared you..." Lauren whispered as she rested her head against her mates, running her fingers calmly through the white fur.

"No leave." She repeated, pressing further into her mate. Lauren chuckling to herself at the action.

"I wont." She said again, closing her eyes.

A few days later Lauren was discharged from the hospital on the terms she wouldn't overexert herself. So when Lauren woke up to an empty bed and the shower turning off, she was confused, not confused enough to get up from the bed however, because she promised a certain wolf she'd remain bed bound.

But when the door opened to reveal the person haunting her dreams, all wrapped up an a towel, she was in awe of her beauty.

There eyes connected, flashing red and yellow at each other and Lauren understood now.

She understood that this ethereal being in front of her, was the love of her life, her partner in crime, her best friend. The wolf she was tasked with protecting for the rest of her days.

It was her mate
