He stumbled trough the crowd, trying to get trough to the other guys sitting around a round shaped table.

"Hey, where've you been?" Shane shouted when he catched a glimpse of Bryan coming out from the crowd.

"A thing came in the way." He said and sat down beside Mark and took a sip on his drink.

"What kind if thing?"Nicky said with a curious face.

"I helped a wounded girl." He said without meeting any of the other lads' eyes.

"And?" Kian said. " That seems not to be it, did you wound her, Bryan?" Now with a sarcastic tone in his voice. And the other boys giggled.

"No, but it was kind of my fault. We collided and she lost her balance and hit her head in a table." Bryan said, now looking in the others eyes, exposing his guilt.

"But you helped her, didn't you?" Mark said.

Bryan nodded. "Yeah, i did, I just hope to see her again, I never said sorry straight to her face. It all happened so fast and I forgot to apologise. We ran into each other, it was not her who ran into me."

"Don't think about it like that, she must have appreciated your help. Some other guy might just have walked away instead of staying to see if she was okey." Kian said to support his friend.

"I guess I'm overanalysing the situation." He said, and that's the last he said before they changed the topic.

The five guys kept talking and laughing for another two hours. They were telling stories and memories from other nights and Bryan made impressions of the other band mates, whom laughed until they could't catch their breaths.

"Oh sweetheart!" Layla shouted and embraced me in a large hug. "This was not how I imagined this night, are you okey?" She said staring into my eyes. Impatient to here my answer. But I was not fast enough to tell her until the jumper in my hand caught her attention. "What's that in you're hand?"

"A guy gave it to me to stop the bleeding from my head." I say and show her the almost invisible wound in the back of my head.

Layla just stared at me with her mouth wide open.

"Yeah, I know. I'm the clumsiest person on this planet."

"That's a way to put it." She said trying to melt my words. "But what happened? You just happened to bang your head into something edgy?"

"A table." I corrected her. "I ran into a guy and I lost my balance and hit my head in the table."

"Oh my god, Aine. I feel so guilty!" She shouted out and pressed her palm against her forehead. "This is totally my fault, I shouldn't have left you. We should have stayed together from the start! I'm so sorry!"

"Layla, it's fine! It wasn't your fault, it might have happened even if we were together." I did not believe in that theory myself. But then Laylas anxious face expression changed.

"Wait, why would you run?"

David. I'd almost forgot about him. The thought of him... Ugh, it makes me feel sick and I shuddered. I don't know how to tell Layla about it. Not because I don't feel comfortable telling it to her, it's just the thought of thinking the whole event trough one more time and experience it again that doesn't tempt me.

"You know the young man in the bar, David, an old friend of mine. We've known each other since the age of six or seven. He asked me to dance with him, so I did, and.." I took a pause to gather my mind and to see Layla's expression.

"And what?"

"And he put his hands below my waist and made an attempt to kiss me." I say as clear and fast as a could.

"Oh my god..." She said and hugged me again even tighter.

Then something came to her mind and she pulls herself away. "What an ass!" That's the last thing to be said, and we walked home in the night, letting the streetlights show the way home.

I felt anxious and uneasy thinking about the night. But then the kind young man, Bryan, appeared in my mind and a fire lit inside of me. The fear and worry was rubbed away and I felt safe and warm at the thought of him.
