Bryan and I ran across the street. The yellow building was five floors high. We walked up the stairs and stopped walking when we reached the second floor.
"Welcome." Bryan said and let me in before him. I entered the generous apartment. It was not as big as ours, but not much smaller. If I should describe his home with one word it would be "messy", since he did not seem to be a fan of cleaning. But I did not want to complain about the cleaning as the first thing I said.
"Wow, it's big. Do you live here alone?" Was the first thing I said.
"Yeah, but I often have friends who sleep over, so I often have some company."
I walked deeper into the apartment with Bryan just two steps behind me and found the living room. There was a sofa, a TV, and some sort of video game lying in front of the TV.
"Do you play a lot of video games?" I said and pointed at it.
"When I get time. You wanna play?"
"But I can't play, I'll lose."
''Like that would be something negative? That means I'll have a better chance of winning."
"All right then, I'll beat you!"
We played and laughed for an hour. I actually was not as bad as I thought I would be. But still not better than Bryan. After he had won six times in a row, we felt done with the video games.
"Now, I want to see your bedroom." I said.
"Are you flirting now?" He said.
"What? Is it strange that I..." He interrupted me with a laugh.
"I'm joking. Come on ill show you!"
The bedroom was not as messy as the rest of the apartment, surprisingly. There was one window. Through it I could see the coloured trees on the other side of the street. I stood in front of the window and watched the town move. Leafs fell, cars drove by and children played.
Then I felt a touch on my left hand. Bryan stood behind me. He played with my fingers in his hand. I could hear his breath above my head. He was calm, and that made me calm too, even though my pulse increased a little. I had never been this close to a guy in my age, or almost in my age.
I slowly turned around and looked in his eyes. He smiled, and so did I. I could not do anything else in his company.
He lowered his head to let our lips meet. The kiss was at first careful, but it got soon more intense and I felt a string of electricity down my spine as his hands searched themselves under my t-shirt. He lifted me up to sit in the window. I heard myself breathing more intense and even loader as his fingers touched my skin. Of a sudden I felt an intense need of love and I pulled myself closer to his body. I just wanted to be as close to him as I possibly could. So of an impulse I pulled his t-shirt over his head. Consequently, he pulled off mine too. He lifted me over to the bed and lied over me. Suddenly my phone rang in my back pocket. Bryan removed his body so I could answer. Irritated I searched for it in my jeans.
"Hello?" I answered trying to slow my breath.
"Hi Aine!" It was Layla. "I have some great news, guess what!" She said clearly exited about what she was about to tell.
"What?"
"I have the concert tickets for the Westlife concert!" She shouted and I had to keep a short distance between my ear and the phone.
"Okey, that's great. Can we talk more later?"
"Sure, are you studying for the math test on Monday?"
I glanced at Bryan's topless body. "Yeah, exactly, and I'm in a really good flow right now, so let's talk more later, okey?"
"Okey! Bye sweetie!'' Layla said and we hung up.
This situation was so foreign to me. What was I doing? I had never done anything like this before. But it felt so right.
