"Have you finished the essay?" Layla mumbled with her face covered in her hand while turning the page in a magazine. It was Sunday afternoon and Layla and I was sitting in her room looking through her new magazines. The majority of the content is about celebrities, that's what we enjoy reading.
"I've started but not sure if I'll be done in time, and you?"
"Of course not, you know me. I'll write it all the night before. I have to work under pressure. "
"I can't work without motivation, and that's nothing school offe..." I got interrupted by Layla who screamed and pointed at a poster in the magazine. It was poster of Westlife, you know this big boy band. Actually I couldn't care less about it. Just because I didn't knew much about them. All I knew was that they were five members and very successful. Layla on the other side was obsessed.
"This is going straight up on my wall. Can you order this as a wallpaper?" We both laughed at the thought of Laylas room covered in faces of teenage boys.
"Aaah, I love Westlife! You should listen to them, Aine!" Layla said and threw the magazine at me.
I responded with a sarcastic smile. "Yeah, maybe in my next life. You know I'm not very much for boy bands." I said and threw the magazine back at her before even looking at the poster.
"That's what you think! You should love them, everybody I know likes their music."
I sighted and breathed out loud while responding. "I don't eaven have any of their CDs."
"Hah, like that would be your biggest problem? You'll borrow mine of course, cause they've only released one yet." Layla started to finger on her collection of CDs in a big pink plastic box under her bed. It a great collection, with all the new music, and some old goodies.
"To be honest, if I borrow that cd it'll only be laying on my bedroom floor for weeks gathering dust."
"Then we listen to it right now!" She said and walked to the light blue mini stereo placed in her bedroom window. She presses a button and placed the disc gently at its place where it started to spin in an orange light.
The song started with a piano intro and a clear young male voice started to sing.
I wanna know
Who ever told you I was letting go
Of the only joy that I have ever known
Girl, they were lying
Just look around
And all of the people that we used to know
Have just given up, they wanna let it go
But we're still trying
So you should know this love we share was never made to die
I'm glad we're on this one way street just you and I
Just you and I
I'm never gonna say goodbye
Cos I never wanna see you cry
I swore to you my love would remain
And I swear it all over again and I
I'm never gonna treat you bad
Cos I never wanna see you sad
I swore to share your joy and your pain
And I swear it all over again
All over again
Some people say
That everything has got it's place in time
Even the day must give way to the night
But I'm not buying
Cos in your eyes
I see a love that burns eternally
And if you see how beautiful you are to me
You'll know I'm not lying
Sure there'll be times we wanna say goodbye
But even if we try
There are some things in this life won't be denied
Won't be denied
I'm never gonna say goodbye
Cos I never wanna see you cry
I swore to you my love would remain
And I swear it all over again and I
I'm never gonna treat you bad
Cos I never wanna see you sad
I swore to share your joy and your pain
And I swear it all over again
Layla reached for the stop button and bursted out in a big, foolish smile "Isn't it wonderful!? Admit it!"
"Yeah, I mean it's good." I said a little too indifferent.
"We'll Aine, that was an enthusiastic answer." She said, and I couldn't do anything else than respond by smiling
foolishly me too.AN: Thank you for getting through the third chapter! Please tell me what you think in the comments!
