"Everything alright?"
The guard we passed earlier still held his position at the exit. I was not alright at all.
"Just fine." I answered when I leaned my hand against the fence and bend down to throw up.
He rolled his eyes with concern. "I can see that." He went to the fence and handed a bottle of water. I didn't receive it, I felt too dizzy. I must be in chock or something.
"You've been drinking?"
My turn to roll my eyes. I did not give him a reaction this time either. My condition wasn't his business. In next second, footsteps from high heels approached us. Layla had finally got out she too.
"Aine!" She shouted when she discovered me. "You're all right?!" She bent down beside me trying to catch her breath.
"I'm just..." I glided down the wooden fence and sat down on the asphalt. I probably had my butt right on a whole lot of cigarette butts, but I couldn't care less.
"...confused." I breathed out and put my forehead in my palms.
"About what? What happened in there?" Layla asked with her calmest and most caring voice.
"I'm in love with Bryan in Westlife."
The guard now felt the situation and returned to his position at the exit door. He must have thought I was just a crazy fan girl who'd lost it completely.
I almost felt Layla rolling her eyes. It should be her turn too, shouldn't it? "Aine, I don't know how you feel but, he's good looking and all, but you don't know him... And what about Bryan at home, you've already forgotten about him? You said you were in lo-"
"You don't get it, it's the same freaking person!" My head was released from my hands and I looked straight at her. I wasn't angry or sad, just confused and chocked, and... disappointed? Yeah, it felt almost like a joke.
Layla was just standing their bend down beside me for a few quiet seconds. Then she sat down next to me. "You can't mean it. For real? You've been dating Bryan McFadden the whole time?!"
My silence answered her question.
