"Hey, hey, calm down...", the Hypno reassured her with his hands and sweat-dropped. "W-who are you?!", Ribbon asked with precaution, narrowing her eyes and holding back her arms.

"I am Hypno... and I am here to help", he signalled the young Pichu, grinning strangely at her. "Help...? Help with what?", the girl asked him, confused and a bit scared, but she tried to seem as brave as she could.

The other chuckled deeply, "Finding. I'll help you to find."

Is this some kind of riddle?! Or is he talking about Mister Sparky?, Ribbon raised an eyebrow curiously at him, "Finding what?". "Finding... that's all I can say", he chuckled again. There was something weird about him, but he didn't seem to have bad intentions.

Ribbon thought it well before answering, "O... okay. Help me find Mister Sparky, please".

"Good girl~ follow me", she let him grab her small hand and they walked deeper into the woods as he guided her.

H-have I made the right decision?

A long time had passed and Ribbon realized they were already past the woods and now encountered themeselves in front of a big body of water. Really big.

Is this a river? No... the sea?!

"W-what?! Where are we?!", the Pichu exclaimed, immediately pulling away from Hypno until she got an answer.
"In the right direction", the latter told her with a short laugh. "To what?", she asked, confused. "To Find".

Find what?! she wanted to yell but didn't, being more cautious instead and leaning closer into the deep waters.

At that moment, Hypno whistled into his fingers, as if calling someone. Ribbon quickly lifted her head in alert, worried of what may happen; but to her surprise, a really tame Pokémon resurfaced from under the ocean, in front of them.

"Hello, Lapras", the tall, bright yellow Pokémon saluted the other, "Say hello, little girl".

"H-hello", Ribbon mused, being polite.

The Lapras didn't speak, but dipped its head in acknowledgement. Then it laid it head down, letting Hypno and Ribbon get over its shell and ride it comfortably.

That's when Ribbon knew there was no turning back, she adjusted the Sylveon-like bow in her ear and sighed, trying to calm down.

The night passed over their heads as Lapras swam in a straight line in the horizon.

Hypno noticed the little Pichu next to him was unable to fall asleep even though it'd be reasonable for her to be exhausted after such a long day, specially since she was just a baby Pokémon.

Ribbon stared over into the sea, holding tight into her feet. "Hey, little girl, aren't ya tired? Go to sleep", he told her, glancing at her with his usual wide grin.

Ribbon didn't respond, but turned around, "Mister Hy... Hy...". "Hypno", he smiled at her. "Mister Hypno, why are you helping me so much?", she asked him, eyes shimmering.

"Hmm...", he closed his eyes and inhaled the sea air, "Because you're a special one. I know you".

The Pichu gasped, "W-what? How can you know me if I don't know y-you?".

The Hypno shrugged, looking at her, "I know your parents".

Mama... Papa...

"Oh...".

"They are really brave and strong Pokémon, I can say so myself, I knew your mother as a little, weak Eevee and your pops as a naive youngster", the Psychic-Type added.

Ribbon couldn't help but smile slightly though her eyes began to ache. They used to be like that...? the girl giggled in disbelief.

"Ya, they used to be like that".

"H-huh?! Y-you--".

"Yes, I can read your thoughts~", he laughed in amusement at the little girl's dismay.

After a while of his laughing, Ribbon gave in to a little laugh, too. Hypno didn't seem as she thought he would be. But she hadn't heard from him from her parents, if he really was a friend of theirs...

"Were you one of my parents' friends, mister?", she chose to ask him out of curiosity.

"No", he said.

"But I paid my debts to Hana, so I hope she has nothing against me anymore...".

Ribbon decided not to ask more questions after that as she felt more and more sleepy and unconsciously let her head fall on Hypno's lap as she finally fell asleep.

When she opened her eyes again, Hypno was nudging her awake so she got up. The sunlight radiated all over the sea and made it shine, "I-it's so beautiful!", she said, smiling widely and raising up her arms with a yawn. "I know, and the best is, little girl, we're closer to finding", the Phychic Pokémon said with glee. Ribbon giggled, she had grown to trust Mister Hypno.

"So, w-where are we?".

"Kanto".

"O-oh... w-w-wait, WHAT?!", Ribbon jumped into the air, shocked, "We're in another region?!". "Yes, we crossed the ocean, you saw it", Hypno said, his usual expression unreadable. "B-b-but...! It was too fast!", she exclaimed, suddenly concerned, and unexpected...

"Do not worry~ You will be safe if you follow me~", he smiled at her warmly. "Hmm...", it's not like she had another option now. She was even FARTHER AWAY from her family now! She felt her eyes ache again and now she couldn't hold back her tears as she slowly began crying. Mama! Papa! Will I see you again?! I-I've done the worst mistake of my life..., she wailed inside her head, though she had forgotten Hypno could hear her anyways. "Now, now, child... calm down", the taller, strange "comforted" her, caressing her head, "You haven't lost your family. We'll find".

She didn't even bother to ask what he meant as she tried her best to dry her tears.

"There is big trouble inside your family... I will help you find it".

"What a-are you talking about?".

"Big trouble... your family... find it... fix it", the other Pokémon told her, using long pauses as he spoke. Ribbon's eyes widdened, she was beginning to understand. After a minute of silence her desperate frown was replaced with a determined look, "Take me to them."

Hypno chuckled, "Yes".

And so she followed him into the bustling town of Kanto as the two ran away into the search of the problem.
