Dear Billie,
I've learnt a lot from you. I've learnt that love should be unconditional. Why do people say 'I love you because you're funny, and kind, and smart'? When that person stops being those things, are you going to stop loving them? You never stopped loving me. You made my day, every day. You were the light of my life and I'm so thankful to God that he put you on this Earth. I'm so thankful that you met Ethan at that yellow cafe at 9am, Haven Avenue. I'm so thankful you stayed the night in my bed. I'm so thankful you got surgery. I feel dead inside, all the time. But, I'm never dead when I'm with you. I'm sorry I hurt you. That's the last thing I'd want to do to you- in fact, that doesn't even make the list. I love you too much. And whenever you think you're no beautiful, or worthless, it hurts me because I never manage to tell you how much you mean to me. It doesn't matter what other people think because you, E and Ariana are the most important people to me. I'll never leave you, that, I can promise you. I love you. You don't u n d e r s t a n d how much I love you. I can't explain it. I love you to Pluto and back, infinity times. I love you, and I hope you love me, too.

She's sitting on our bed, reading my letter. She looks up with tears in her eyes.
"I love you, too." she says.
"So," I get down on my knees. "Will you marry me?"
