Chapter 14

Azuma, Dai and Orokan'zao enjoyed a long night’s sleep, in the comfortable  and warm room the Mizu clan assigned them. When they awoke, Mitaehl loomed over them, as if he had been waiting all night for them.

"Ah, you're awake. Come with me." Mitaehl commanded. Azuma and the others were to tired to even think about why, or even to respond, and just followed Mitaehl blindly. If they had been attacked or ambushed right then, they wouldn't have even tried to fight back. When they arrived at the end of the corridor, Mitaehl led them into a large, open room, that had 5 people sitting on high chairs, about 10 meters off the ground, and 10 rows of orderly chairs with 10 seats a row.

"What is this threat, you speak of?" One of the old men on the high chairs questioned.

"Recently, a parasitic alien came and took control of our friend. Now we are worried that the parasites are going to overthrow the clans. Our friend here is a rouge parasite, named Orokan'Zao. He reported to us that the parasites don't want to just rule the world, but instead they came here to cause chaos. We need to stop them, before they destroy us." Dai replied to the old man.

"How do we know that you are telling us the truth?" The old man to the far left high chair asked Dai.

"What reason would we have to lie to you? We are here seeking your help!" Azuma calmly responded, although he was annoyed inside.

“Ok, go back to your quarters. I’ll have a truth seer come in. Or maybe a water divination expert...,” The old man trailed on as the trio left the courtroom.

When they returned to the room where they were staying, they were all sick of the idiots at the council, who didn’t want to listen, but would prefer to keep checking again and again whether they group was telling the truth. It wasted valuable time towards saving Kiyomi, and stopping the parasites.

“We have to make sure the council approves of our idea,” Dai stated.

“A good way for them to not be able to say no is if we had a plan. Any ideas Orokan'zao?” Azuma contemplated.

“Well, we could easily make up a plan, even if we don’t want to follow it,” Orokan'zao devised.

“No, our plan has to be something we can follow. This could help us to, having a plan of action.” Dai contributed.

“Well, we could start training. We could tell them to assign some troops to assist us, and we could spend a few weeks in training, so we are prepared for any possible fights. Remember these parasites have special powers, so we have to be prepared for anything.” Azuma suggested.

“Ok, so we can ask the fools at the council if that’s reasonable enough for them tomorrow, or whenever they call the truth seer in. Let’s just hope they approve it.
