Chapter 6
Azuma and Dai ran towards the captain, who was steering the boat in a small room at the front of the ship.
"Speed up!" Azuma yelled urgently.
“Why should I, kid?” The captain said in an annoyed voice.
Azuma knew that if they didn’t speed up, Kiyomi would catch up and do to them. He also knew that the captain wouldn’t listen to him. Azumapretended to turn around,and slowly made a 360 degree turn. Just as Azuma finished the rotation, he slugged him in the face with his right hand. The driver’s eyes rolled back into his head and he fell to the floor. Azuma took the wheel, and set the boat to full speed. Dai opened the door, expecting to see the captain at the wheel, but instead found Azuma learning how to drive a boat. Dai looked down at the captain’s bloody face, and instantly recognized a broken nose.
“What did you do, Azuma?!” Dai screamed.
“Well, he wouldn’t cooperate,” Azuma explained calmly.
“Ok, that’s reasonable, but couldn’t you have just tied him up?” Dai asked.
“No time.” Azuma replied.
Kiyomi couldn’t keep up with the boat’s full speed, and they sped away. But what they didn’t know was that Kiyomi had picked up the scent of a sailor on the ship, who had been busy throwing up on the deck. Now, Kiyomi could track the boat wherever Azuma drove it. The sailors at the dock were a good appetizers, but they were all muscle and no fat. They had tasted so bland!
“I won’t let him escape!” The possessed Kiyomi whispered to herself, through a mouthful of ocean water.
