Chapter 2
They walked down to the village, looking for a way to get to the docks closest to Shark Island.
"Hey Azuma, let's go to the marketplace, and get a ride to the docks, ok?" Kiyomi suggested.
"Sure, sounds good." Azuma agreed. They started to walk down the steep cliff, and Azuma grabbed Kiyomi's hand, to make sure she didn't fall. They arrived at the market after about an hour, and looked around. They saw some horse-pulled carts, each going to different parts of the island.
"Hey mister, are there any carts going to the docks soon?" Azuma asked one of the people steering a horse cart.
"Yeah, actually after we pass through Okinawa Town we will turn around, and then head to the docks. The journey will take about 6 hours 'till the dock, and it will cost ya." The man replied.
"Well, that sounds great, thanks." Azuma answers. Azuma handed the man some money and got in the back with Kiyomi.
The driver turned around."Well, we're heading out now. No roughhousing on the ride, and I'm not responsible fer yer stuff. Have a nice ride," he said gruffly. When the rusty cart set off, shaking violently, Azuma and Kiyomi held on to each other to stop from falling out. After about two hours, they fell asleep.
