Chapter 5

Azuma and Dai arrived at the docks on Shark Island. The sailors there cast them strange looks.

"Quick! Run away while you can!" Azuma said hurriedly, "If she catches up, we're all going to die!'

One of the sailors laughed, a short, stocky man with a bushy beard. "You think we're going to die because a girl is going to come attack us with her tiny fists?" he said.

"Alright. Don't say I didn't warn you." Azuma said.

With those ominous words, Azuma and Dai started to leave.

"Stupid kid's just trying to scare us," the sailors mocked.

Azuma and Dai ignored them and quickly clambered onto the return ferry. A little ways from the island, they heard screams behind them. Azuma shuddered. He didn't want to think about what the possessed Kiyomi did to the sailors.

"Hey, calm down, will ya?" Dai said. "There's no possible way that thing is going to get to Jujiroh Island, much less have enough energy left to kill us even if it did."

"Yeah. Ok," Azuma replied absently.He was worried about what was going to happen to Kiyomi. Those sailors, despite their rugged builds, were mercilessly slaughtered and couldn't do a thing about it. Well, he didn't need to worry anymore. The next time he would be back with a huge team to try to save Kiyomi. Azuma was scared about Kiyomi's welfare, would she die, or worse: stay possessed like this forever?

Azuma's thought process was interrupted by Dai.

"Azuma, AZUMA!" Dai yelled, "Look at the island, it's Kiyomi!"

Azuma turned and nearly fell over. He saw Kiyomi, with blood spattered around her mouth, her usually small stomach bulging. Then, with her blank gaze directed towards Azuma, she jumped into the water, and began to rapidly swim towards the boat. Then, the horrible truth struckhim.

Kiyomi had eaten the sailors.
