Hyunjin P.O.V

Later that day Changbin met me and Jeongin at lunch. We all sat down at the table together. I was busy trying to finish my homework for my class later that day that I forgot to do last night, that I forgot I had to get my lunch. I heard Changbin and Jeongin getting up from the table next to me however my eyes were still focused on my work.

"I'll get your food for you Hyunjin." Jeongin said to me.

Then I realized and lifted up my head fast.

"No it's okay you dont have to." I said getting up.

"No I'll do it it's okay. Finish your work, it's more important." Jeongin said patting my back softly. Then he and Changbin left to get lunch.

When they came back Changbin sat down and Jeongin handed me my tray before sitting down. I smiled brightly at him as he gave me my tray.

"Thank you Jeongin. You're the best!"

"Of course Hyunjin. For you." He said back.

Changbin P.O.V

While we were eating the three of us had a long and fun conversation. However as we talked I noticed Hyunjin was mostly looking at Jeongin and whenever he talked to Jeongin his face was lit up and he smiled brightly. While talking to him his smile never left his face. After we finsihed eating Jeongin got up to use the bathroom. I turned to Hyunjin now that Jeongin was gone. It was time to bring up the conversation again that I tried to bring up before.

"Hyunjin I saw how you smiled at Jeongin this whole time. Do you like him?"

"Of course I like him. He's my friend."

"No not like that. Are you sure you don't have feelings for him?"

"No what makes you think that?"

"I saw the way you smiled at him whenever he spoke up or looked at you."

"What's wrong with smiling?"

"You don't do that usually."

"Well.. I mean."

"You can't deny it."

"Well maybe you're right. But just about that. I don't usually smile. But maybe I'm just feeling happy today."

"But that way you smile with him is different. There are times you are happy with me but you dont smile or look at me in that way."

"Because I don't like you like that Changbin. You're my best friend." Hyunjin said laughing.

"So you admit you like him then?"

"N-no that's not what I meant. Just forget it. Let me have a friend for once."

"Okay sorry." I said half sarcastically.

Why is he so defensive?

Hyunjin P.O.V

Jeongin returned and a couple of minutes later the bell rang. We separated after exiting the cafeteria. Changbin and I went to rap class while Jeongin went to his vocal class.

During rap class I was feeling very down for some reason. It was silent between me and Changbin and I just stared at the floor for most of the class.

Changbin P.O.V

I noticed Hyunjin was being quiet and off during class. But I didn't want to bother him or make it worse so I left it there. I didn't know how to cheer him up and I thought trying to would make it worse.

It's okay. I thought to myself.
He will figure it out, whatever it is. He is fine.

Hyunjin P.O.V

After rap class I had a break so I went to the library. It was quiet there and I thought I could take a nap and maybe feel better afterwards. I went upstairs to the library and found an empty table and seat to sit at. I rested my head in my arms and seconds later I was slowly drifting asleep.

When I woke up I still felt down. I didn't feel any better and my mind was still clogged and messed up. I rubbed my eyes and when I could finally see I saw Jeongin looking at me. I was so startled I backed up quickly.

"Jeongin?" I asked half sleepily, half startled.

"Hey Hyunjin you're awake. I saw you sleeping and decided to wait here for you until you got up." Jeongin said smiling.

His smile melted my heart.

Just by looking at him I felt better and my thoughts went away.

I didn't even realize the dramatic shift in my emotions until later when he left and I was sad and alone again.
