One thing I failed to mention, I'm obsessed with theatre. Well, more like I'm in love with theatre. I've been doing theatre since I was young. I even post covers of songs from different shows on youtube. I recently played Fiona in Shrek the Musical. My parents are super supportive for the most part.

My mom thinks it's just something I do for fun. She doesn't want to believe I'm passionate about it. She doesn't consider it an actual profession and thinks Derek's crazy doing it for a living. Especially, now that he's married. Apparently he's being "careless with his life"

Derek knows how much I love theatre. He's the only one who truly gets it. Whenever he's in California we'll always have a carpool karaoke session which consist of us belting our favorite show stopping numbers as loud and as bad as we possibly can. So seeing Mean Girls was like a dream come true for me.

Act One

The house lights went down and the overture began. The stage lights go up and Barrett and Grey are now onstage, singing 'Cautionary Tale'. I'm so excited I can't think straight. I felt exactly how I did seeing Anastasia both times. Excitement running through my body, so much that I start to tear up. I already feel wrapped into the story with just the first couple of notes played by the orchestra. Nothing beats live theatre. You feel pulled into a different world full of unique stories. You forget about all your problems and just watch as the people onstage serenade you. Minutes start to feel only like a few seconds.

The music starts for 'Meet the Plastics' and you see the three iconic characters on the table. The Plastics are being pushed down stage towards the audience. The crowd goes nuts. Then it hit me. I am in the same room as Taylor Louderman. My inspiration. Tears immediately fill in my eyes again. "My name is Regina Geeewwworge" The audience all starts laughing.

"You know this is a comedy," Derek whispered. "You're not supposed to be crying." I look at him and saw a concerned look on his face. "I'm just really happy to be here" I whispered back. I wasn't looking at him but I knew he was smiling. We put our full attention back to the stage.

"IT'S A REVENGE PAAARTTYY"
As soon as Grey started flossing the audience lost it. I can't help but notice Derek tapping his feet and bopping his head and nudging Elycia and I to do the same. He better not get us kicked out of here. He's such a man child but he made me laugh none the less.

"It's fine for you, it's fine to flirt. It's fiiiiine, till someone gets hurt. TILL SOMEONE GETS HUUUUURRTT" Regina exits. The light go out on Cady, Gretchen and Karen and the other kids in the cafeteria.

End of Act One

"I gotta use the little boys room" Derek said at intermission. "I'll be right back." Then he dashed out of the isle.

"What do you think so far?" Elycia asked me. "It's better than I ever could imagined" I said trying not to sound to much of a fangirl.

She smiled. "I knew you'd like it. Derek showed me your cover of Apex Predator. It was amazing!" I blushed. "Thanks" Was all I could think of to say.

"Maybe you should audition for Mean Girls. You might get to be the next Regina George" Elycia said.

"I think I'll let the queen herself, Taylor Louderman continue slaying it every night as Regina. Besides, I'm not good enough for Broadway"

"Derek used to think the same way, but then he started believing in himself."

Derek came back to his seat right between Elycia and I interrupting our conversation, with his hands full with candy.
