Our taxi driver let us out right in front of the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. It was pretty crowded tonight. It didn't help that we were late. I followed Elycia to our seats. When we finally were seated the lights dimming.

"Here we go" Elycia whispered to me excited. I smiled at her.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to pay enough attention to the show because of the news Derek shocked me with before we left. But when you love theatre enough, you can forget about anything. Especially this show. The way this beautiful story is told. I guess it's not shocking to say I was in tears by 'What Baking Can Do'

Intermission

The lights came up and the audience's clapping ceased.

"Oh I love this show!" Elycia said smiling. "What do you think so far?"

"It's amazing!" I said

"I knew you'd love it!" She said "Would you like to get some of those pie jar things?"

I laughed. "I don't think that's what they're called but sure"

Elycia pulled her wallet out of her purse.

"I'll go get some"

She started to get up but I stood up before she did.

"No I'll get it" I said.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive"

"Okay, thank you" Elycia said pulling out a twenty and handing it to me.

"What flavor would you like?" I asked

"Surprise me" she laughed "feel free to get anything else you'd like"

I nodded and walked towards the concession stand.

Once I got to the front of the line I saw the 'pie jar things' as Elycia liked to call it and decided to get two cherry flavored ones.

"Thank you" I said to the woman who handed me my change. As soon as I turned around I bumped into a someone causing me to drop both jars. They started to roll away.

"Great, I just bought these" I said quietly as I bent down trying to pick them up before someone tripped over them.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry" I heard a guys voice say.

"It's fine" I said, not looking at him. I was too busy picking up the first jar. Once I did I stood.

"I'm such a clutz" he said standing to his feet.
He had messy brown hair blue eyes. He also had a few freckles on his nose. He was wearing a plaid shirt and ripped jeans which for some reason gave me cowboy vibes. He looked about my age or maybe a year older.

"Here's your other jar" he said handing it to me
"Thanks" I said taking it from him.

"You're welcome, Cherry"

I paused for a second. "Cherry?"

"The kind of pie you got" He clarified

"Oh right" I said "Thanks again cowboy"

As I walked away I could hear him laugh which, made my mouth break into a small smile.

"Oooo Cherry" Elycia said eyeing the jars, once I got back to my seat. "You've picked well young grasshopper"

"I think someone's spent too much time with Derek" I said laughing

"Well he is my husband" she said sarcastically. Then her facial expression turned serious. "He told me about what he did"
