Alex had just gotten back to her own apartment, nothing as secure or fancy as what Nate lived in. There was no security and if you could get the code you could get in. Clearly, that had not been something that phased Alex when she had chosen to live there out of the plenty of other available places. The thought only crossed her mind as she noticed her door wide open.
She slowly walked in, "hello? Who's here?"
"Who else?"
"Lucas."
"Alex, we both know all of those suicides were murders. And, we both know it was not me who killed them."
"And what do the police think?"
"That it was me, but you already know that."
"So, why are you here then."
"To try to convince you to confess."
"Confess to what? I'm not being investigated for murder."
"But you should be!"
Lucas had stood and was throwing his hands in rage like he had gone insane. Alex would have feared him but knew him well enough to know he would never purposely hurt anyone. He stood with wild eyes and his hair was an absolute mess. The one thing about him was he had always had good hair. Styled to perfection, never out of place. Until now.
"Lucas, you're acting crazy."
"Oh! I wonder why!?"
"I'm going to leave and when I come back, you will not be here."
"You tried to kill me, and you think I am just going to leave!?"
"Lucas, you were the one who swallowed an incorrect dose of your medication. I never forced you to take it. So, like I said, I'm going to leave. When I come back, you will not be here. Understood?"
