// Admitted Attraction //
Friday classes always seemed to drag students down a bit, but Alex was more than okay with being at her Friday English class.
Nate walked into the class with less than a minute to spare. He seemed nonchalant, he seemed like he knew he was going to be late and had just not cared. Alex watched him get his things ready and waited for him to acknowledge her. He did not.
Alex was irritated beyond belief, almost angered by this. She knew she had not done anything to make Nate blatantly ignore her. In fact, Alex felt that after everything the discussion they had together, he should be more attentive and acknowledging of her presence.
The class dragged on after that for Alex. Her irritation bubbled and her anger seeped from her. Alex would not let this one go. She would wait until the end of class and confront him. However she was still determined to keep her naive and innocent look intact.
The class was almost cleared, and Alex walked to the door past Nate without looking at him. She got to the door only to shut it.
Nate looked surprised by her actions and raised his brow. "Do you have a reason for shutting the door Alex?"
"I wanted to talk, but I also didn't want others to hear."
"Hear what?"
"Us."
"That's quite vague Alex."
Alex hummed in response but let him think about it for a moment. Something passed through his eyes as he looked at her and Alex hoped she was reading it correctly. Because if she was, she saw exactly what she had wanted to see. Desire.
"You practically ignored me today." Alex walked closer to Nate and he seemed to become a little uncomfortable. She made herself seem saddened by his actions today.
"I was not ignoring you. I have other students."
"Maybe so, but you wouldn't even make eye contact and especially after what I told you. I don't mean to use that to guilt you, but that was hard for me to–"
"I didn't think you would want to be treated any differently."
"I didn't say I did."
"Then what?"
"I would like to be treated like normal Nate." She stepped closer, pretending like she did not notice the distance between them was shrinking.
"Uh normal, as in, uh..." He trailed off becoming uncomfortable with Alex's close proximity.
"As in, don't treat me like I'm invisible."
Alex placed her hand on his chest and Nate visibly jumped in shock. She frowned as he grabbed her hand from his chest. This was quite forward but her patience was wearing. He had the look in his eyes that she could read, but he seemed more head strong than to just act.
Alex realized he has not let go of her wrist. They both kept quiet and starred at each other for a while. Alex was enjoying the touch he gave her, and it seemed as though Nate was having an internal debate.
He finally stopped and let go of her wrist while walking away towards the closed door. He put his hand on the nob of the door and Alex became excited as his hand hovered where the locks were. Only he twisted the handle but looked back and before walking away left her feeling satisfied.
"I was ignoring you because I feel attracted to you."
