- Duncan-

I dragged Violet back, trying in vain to keep her away from Olaf. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Klaus running. No one in Count Olaf's troupe really seemed to pay him much attention. I really hoped he was getting help and not just leaving us.

He wasn't like that. Was he?

I shook my head. It didn't matter right now. Violet was shot and she was bleeding a lot. A. Lot. Count Olaf surged forward and I brought my fist up to his jaw. He stumbled back, not suspecting violence. To be honest neither was I, but I couldn't let him hurt Violet any more than he already had. And Isadora was behind us trying to get something to stop the bleeding. I had to protect them, not because I was the guy but because Violet and Isadora were both occupied with other things. Like being shot.

Count Olaf came back and actually growled, his hand reaching out to my throat. I tucked my chin down into my throat and kicked my leg out, aiming for his knee.

He gasped out and fell but his hand reached up and grabbed my hair, pulling the little he could grab.

The Person of Intermediate gender came forward with the white haired ladies and started hitting me. The white haired ladies didn't hit hard, but they knew where to hit to make it hurt the most. The person of intermediate gender could actually hit, and my left eye was already swelling.

The hook handed man was trying t fight Isadora. I had to get to her He had at least 80 pounds on her if not more. He was big, and he had muscle. He could easily hurt her.

I pushed one of the white haired ladies back and she hit a bookshelf, Knocking her out and receiving a cut on her head. Her sister went to go help her which left me fighting only the person of intermediate gender.

They came at me, holding a rather large umbrella and went for my stomach, trying to hit me, I fell like a bag of bricks and quickly kicked up into their stomach.

They were rather large so they had a bit of padding but I did hear something crack and they dropped. They didn't get back up, but they were breathing.

I backed away, not fully comprehending what I had just done. A small scream from Isadora had me sprinting to her. I couldn't lose another sibling. I couldn't lose Isadora.
