"You, what!?" Father booms, he stands up from his really big and grand seat, and walks towards the restrained demon. He grabs Felix's face with one hand and forces the demon to look at him.
"F-father, p-please," Felix stutters in fear.
The man slaps felix, making Rose jump in place.
"Do you have any idea how much trouble you're in, Lee Felix!?" His father questions, "that's an illegal demonic trade! You're breaking demonic code!" He exclaims. Rose stands there in silence, restraining Felix as father yells at the poor boy.
"W-what do you mean, dad!?" Felix cries, "I didn't do anything wrong—"
"Because of you, Lee Felix," father says calmly, too calmly, as if he is restraining his own demon that's waiting to be let out, "that girl's father isn't going to be here for long."
"What?" Felix and Rose say at the same time.
"His soul wasn't traded to me, but a soul demon. A demon who devours people's souls for fun," the man states, "and you gladly opened the door for him. The demon works slowly, as slow and steady wins the race."
"You mean," Rose says absentmindedly.
"Yes," their father says, "his soul is slowly being eaten alive as we speak."
Felix blinks slowly with his mouth agape, realizing how dangerous this situation has adjourned to. Yeona's father is currently walking as a free man, but eventually he'll be found dead. The thought of that makes Felix's eyes widen in sheer fear, never expecting an outcome so grand to come out of this.
His father turns to Rose, "let go of the man, Rose, dear," he says calmly once again, "I have this under control."
Rose looks at Felix and hesitates, but obliges. She loosens her grip, which brings relief to the demon as the pain in his arms are no longer there. Letting go of the demon, she backs away and stands there, attentive.
Felix sighs in relief and decides to make a run for it, thinking that if he runs fast enough, he can poof out of here without any trouble. However, his father looks blandly at his son who already knows his next moves, so with a swift movement, his hand goes up and drags Felix down to the ground, making Felix squeak a noise out. Rose stifles a laugh, trying her best to remain a calm composure. The demon goes down, forced to sit down while hand cuffs connected with chains appear around his wrists. Felix looks at Rose, who is avoiding eye contact because she doesn't want the see the look of betrayal, yet. He then looks at his father, who is now fuming.
"How funny and absurd!" Father cackles, walking back into his chair. Felix attempts to move; planning out a way to get out of these chains, but a sharp, burning pain surges through him. He shrieks in pain, looking at his wrists frantically as they are indeed burned by the cuffs.
"You fool," father says, "every time you move, you're closer, and closer to burning your hands off."
Rose coughs, making Felix break his neck and look at her, surprising her due to his frantic move.
"Do you have something to say, Rose," Felix says venomously. His father laughs once more, "don't talk to Rose like that, Lee Felix. She did the right thing in turning you in," he says.
"No man deserves to get away with murder, no man," Felix scoffs in disbelief, thinking how ridiculous and unnecessary this is turning out.
Father stands up from his big chair, and walks towards Felix. He crouches, and grabs his face again, "your trial begins tomorrow morning," he says mockingly, a grin so big it makes Rose cough once more.
