"Ah! You actually showed up!"
Lucifer stands up from his chair and greets Yeona and Hoseok. Yeona greets him with a blank smile and a nod, as she is eyeing the court room for the demon race. Before she headed into the court room, she and Hoseok spent 30 plus minutes attempting to make herself visible again, and avoid the stares that came from Jimin. After more than 10 attempts, she finally was able to be seen. Jimin tried so many times to talk to Yeona, but Yeona refuses to even look at him. She can't look at what hurt her, right now. So, Hoseok lied and told the three men that only Hoseok and Yeona were able to go inside the courtroom. Disdained, Jimin sighs heavily and sits on the ground, waiting for them to finish, while Jin and Namjoon head out to make fool out of themselves.
Yeona sighs heavily and walks into the court room without any question as to why she took so long to complete the task, leaving Hoseok with a question unanswered.
Her mouth opens to ask a question to Lucifer, but Hoseok beats her to it.
"Why are we in a casino?"
"Ah, you humans and your casinos," Lucifer waves at the two. Hoseok and Yeona look at each other with confusion written all over their faces, then at him.
"The underworld is known for gaining and losing souls," Lucifer says, "we do that in many ways; devouring them, stealing them, etcetera.
"However, we gain and lose souls the most by making deals, and gambling for it."
"Our court system is heavily based off of gambling and sentencing," he points at the shaken demon who is waiting for the game to start, "Felix over there, has his entire life on the line, meaning he's determining his own fats whether he wins or loses on this game of poker."
Yeona's eyes widen, and looks at Hoseok with a bewildered face. Hoseok, on the other hand, was astonished by the info, as his mouth shapens to an "O".
"Woah," Hoseok says breathlessly, "that's a whole other level of casino."
"You guys don't gamble, right?" Lucifer asks.
Yeona's nose scrunches in disgust, "No," she looks at Hoseok who is also scrunching his nose and clutching the bat with full force his knuckles turn white. His eyes look reminiscent, as he is remembering a damaging memory that refuses to leave from his fragile heart. Lucifer seems to read his expression, and he smiles apologetically.
"I didn't mean to hit a nerve with the question," he says with an apologetic tone, "your father was a vicious man, and deserves nothing but punishment."
The two look at each other with disdain. A spiral of mixed emotions fill their eyes, as they truly do not know what to think about in regards to their father.
"Maybe what Felix did could help you ease off on this; feel justified of the fact that your father is no longer here to hurt you, Yeona."
"You know," Hoseok adds, placing the bat on his right shoulder, "father visited the house that day you were at the bowling alley."
"And what did he want?" Yeona whispers, not even bothering to question how he got there in the first place. She looks at the ground with a trouble face, then slowly lifts her head to see Felix walk in the room with glowing red chains around his wrists, towards the gambling table.
"He wanted revenge from you," Hoseok states, "Yeona, Jung came to our house because he wanted vengeance from you. If you had not went bowling, you would've encountered father's malicious behavior once more, and I know that you fear it to this day."
Yeona stares blankly at Felix's chains. The chains glow brighter every time he attempts to move his wrist; he winces every time and you simply just stare. Her hand slowly travels up to her collarbone, feeling the other cut her father made to her that day, and winces slightly at the flashing and fast memories that are spiraling in her mind. She softly yanks her own hand away from her collarbone, and clears her throat, as the two were looking at her worryingly.
