"Okay so,"
"Poppies or dandelions?"
Yeona shoves the bouquet of flowers towards her boyfriend's face. Her evil grin widens as he sees how his sinuses begin to act up due to the flowers' pollen engaging the boy's nostrils.
"Yeona! You—achoo! Know—achoo! That I'm—achoo! Allergic—achoo—!"
The girl giggles, smelling the flowers herself. Jimin scowls softly at the girl's banter, but his gaze softens as he can't seem to fall into a trance whenever his eyes are glued to her.
"Just choose which bouquet, Jiminie! It's very special that we give the right flowers to Yoongi so he can "woo" his date!" Yeona giggles, wiggling her eyebrows at him.
Jimin laughs softly, crescent moon shapes appearing from his eyes. He slightly rakes his newly color treated hair with his fingers, never regretting the sudden change of pace that comes with his hair. Suddenly, he feels another set of hands touching his freshly pink hair, making him slightly gasp.
Yeona rakes his hair, then twists a pink piece of his hair with her fingertip, curling it around her finger.
"You and Hoseok have a weird sense of taste when it comes to hair," Yeona jokes. She will never forget the day he yelled at Chanyeol for calling him a red hot chili pepper the day of her hearing. Boy, was he mad.
"First my brother, now you?" She mumbles, taking both bouquets with a gesture of defeat since she know he won't be picking anytime soon.
Walking towards the counter of the bouquet store, her mind can't seem to wander to the thought of someone else's weird hair color.
What in the world happened to Rose?
Flashback: Yeona's hearing
Breathing heavily, Rose looks up, and scans her surrounding with a frantic look. She meant to leave Yeona and just say what she had to say, but she never meant to teleport this far.
"What the hell.." Rose whispers, looking around slowly now.
"Where am I?"
"Take a wild guess, darling."
Rose gasps, covering her mouth quickly with her hand. Her eyes widen, frozen in place to due to the stone cold voice that cracked viscously into the deadly silent air.
"Rose, please turn around. There's no need to be dramatic here."
Her eyes narrow into bright red slits of anger. She stealthily yet slowly pulls out her wand, and goes for a hit towards the enemies face.
"Nuh, ah, ahh," the enemy says cynically, stopping her from getting any closer to his face, "no wands are allowed to be used for a demon like you, Rose."
"You know that," she yanks her hand away from his grasp, and looks at him with wide, fear ridden eyes.
"How did you—"
"No need to ask such a silly question, Rose," he says calmly, licking his fangs in the process, "I'm just here for some unfinished business."
"What the hell are you doing here, Felix!?"
Felix shoves her against the wall, wand now in his control. He points the top of the wand to her carotid artery, and grins.
"You know why I'm here, darling."
"Did you really think you can get away that easily?" Felix asks sweetly, throwing her towards the ground. She groans softly because of the impact, but refuses to lose.
She knew this would happen, and she was very wrong about how prepared she thought she was for this predicament.
"You think—" Felix grabs her collar, "a silly little sentence of a year with no fairy powers is going to cut the chase with what you did, darling?"
He lets go harshly, letting her fall to the ground once more, "ahah, I didn't think so."
"Not when my little sister still has the power of a demon," he says, eyes darkening to a void of darkness. His pitch black eyes reflects his tainted black soul, startling the girl.
"He doesn't even know, huh?" Felix laughs bitterly, walking around her in circles, bending the wand ever so slightly so it wouldn't break in his grasp.
"How fucking clueless can he be?" Felix scoffs, crouching down to Rose's eye level, "you dragged me into this mess, darling," he says, forcefully making her look at him by harshly grabbing her chin.
"If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have done what I had to do to escape that stupid dungeon your father made, and kill every single guard there with my own bare hands."
"I'm not the one who's supposed to be behind bars," he says, eyes closed.
"You are."
Rose grits her teeth in anger, and grabs his collar, taking him by surprise, "you don't fucking scare me, Lee Felix," she whispers, making his eyes widen slightly.
"You're just a kid," she says, making his demeanor stiffen.
"A kid that never wanted to be here in the first place."
"I never asked you to steal Yeona's father's soul, then kill him, nor did I ask you to torture her in that way," Rose says tightly, "you did it upon yourself."
"And, that, kid, requires a price you have to pay."
Felix gasps for air as he feels a puncture of something cold and metallic enter his body cavity. He looks down, gasping with fear, and sees that Rose stabbed him into the heart with her wand.
"H-how did you—" Felix says shakily, eyes darting back and forth to Rose and the black blood beginning to pool around his clothes.
"Oldest trick in the book," Rose smiles, "never leave your wand unattended," she says as she pushes it further into his heart, making him groan loudly in pain, "it could get into the hands of someone with very bad intentions."
Felix gasps as he begins to cough up his own blood, yearning for air, but to no avail as he can feel his body beginning to fail him. He falls to the ground, looking at Rose with a blank, yet fulfilled look of betrayal in his eyes.
"I may not be a fairy for a year," she says softly, caressing his pale cheek, "but I'm sure as hell a better demon than you will ever be."
And with that,
Felix begins to disintegrate into ashes, his shaken eyes staring lifelessly into Roses' glassy eyes.
She sniffles, looking at her brothers remains. Slowly, she picks up the wand that is covered with black blood, and sighs. She needs it as proof to her father that she completed the task. Maybe she'll even show it to Yeona, as she must be curious of Felix's whereabouts, but task or not, a smile creeps up into her face.
Her brother is finally at peace now, and now, he can finally no longer suffer the life of a demon.
She begins to walk, knowing damn well what this place is: the place that father made him into a demon. And, she will forever hate this place, as this is the place where he was reborn, and died. Rose sighs heavily, letting the tears stream down her delicate face.
"So long, brother."
